Hi Mitch
For a very short time, The VDC readout was presented in a Phase 1 type "100" scale, This was on the program named the Synthesis SMT program, The SMT or Sartin Multi-Track program was just around for a few months, SMT was replaced with Validator and the VDC readout was only shown as a compound readout thereafter. Doc went away from the "100" type readouts, He went instead to compound ratings. He wanted clients to get away from missing longer price horse. He felt that people would miss longshots because they were modeling the value of the winning horses, not that the top 3 valued horses in VDC were to be rated as equal, and that the final odds were a better betting guide |

I would guess the 8 horse to be the winner as it was top on both graphs. Jeff |

Is Entropy the golden grail or as good as the present RDSS program? Hell no There was no reason to post this here as this is a classic program section, Bill had even posted this in the teaching area so why not put it there. Also the point of this was to demonstrate the Entropy program. The purpose here is to demonstrate using the older programs which Bill,Ray and FTL have been nice enough to do. Everyone here knows RDSS is a good program and Ted has done a excellent job.I even know it as Ted was nice enough to let me try it and I doubled my bankroll just using the TPR numbers. But there are a few of us for one reason or another prefer the older programs. We dont have to be constantly reminded by you that RDSS is a good program. Jeff |

Hello Bill,
I never saw the Synthesis SMT program and may have been using Jimmy's Aodds Gold program at the time. I like the 100 scale as it easily defines the difference. With V/DC trying to determine the diff. between a 2.4 and a 2.7 is unknown except to say their close. V/DC doesn't really differentiate. A true comparison would be FPS verses TPR on a 100 scale. With wager capping say of the top 3 or 4 of any factor, the odds are easily detectable and distinguishable. Wishing good health and a killer day tomorrow. Mitch44 |

There is every reason to post what I said in this particular discussion. First of all it is on topic and there are many who may not be aware that Entropy morphed into V/DC. There are always new members or fairly new members and they should be aware of that fact in order to make informed decisions. They may even think Entropy and V/DC are two different factors. Or even wonder why its not in the present RDSS. I will always attempt to inform, clarify and help those desiring to achieve success with RDSS. Many may not know this but the "Doc" said V/DC was better than BLBL. The bomb of factors so to speak, which he developed over the years. Given all the necessary information a member is free to choose any program, factor or procedure they want. I don't recall anyone forcing change to any thing you do, so to be frighten or annoyed of my posts is absolutely absurd. Mitch44 |

Programs
Hi Mitch
To paraphrase Ted in talking about programs. The old dos standard programs that are discussed here in the classic program forum will occasionally get horses that RDSS will not get,And RDSS will come up with horses the old programs will not. Most likely all Sartin programs will get the same horses in the top 3 or 4 Maybe in a slightly different order,\ Not that this is an issue anymore however since nobody does race demos anymore. and the Matchup area has been dormant for many months In the few races I have demonstrated, I would expect that RDSS based demo's should be confined to the main Sartin methodology today area's of Pace and Cap If an old program is being demonstrated, race demonstrations and discussions should be confined to this classic area, This will avoid confusion for new members I purposely posted the race in 2 forums. So far there has been no response or discussions in that area, Even though it is in an open area and the RDSS PP's are shown, Nobody including RDSS users bothered to reply I would be interested in hearing your opinion of the RACE |

Hi Bill,
At the time this race was posted in another area I either did not see it or had other priorities. My original post in the Entropy was about Entropy. Apparently depending on the topic, posting here is becoming very nit picky on one thread however not on another that goes off topic to the point it even has nothing to do with horseracing. I see absolutely no confusion to members accept for those who'll make a contrived issue out of something that never existed. Most members are intelligent to understand these posts or they ask. Members deserve all the best information to progress and then they can plot their own course of action. It is really all about choice and they shouldn't have to sleep at a Choice hotel to get it. My contenders for this race if I remember correctly would have been the 3-6-8- which I got off the Energy Generator that was posted. The 8 was counter energy and the 3 & 6 had the same running style. Without having all my normal data I can't honestly say which two would have been my final two for betting. There is many ways to slice and dice final contenders to make final decisions. Thanks for putting it up, wishing a winning day. Mitch44 |

When the same horse is on top of both the SP and EXDC graphs, It is a spot play as per the follow-ups Mitch Thanks for nailing the contenders down, I agree I saw the winner just by the Energy Generator, |

There is nothing wrong with that but this area is not the place to do it. As I stated before Bill,Ray and FTL thanks very much for keeping the older programs alive in THIS AREA. Richie really wish for old times sake you would do a race with one of the classic programs I think it would benefit people here that still use them Jeff Last edited by shoeless; 03-29-2019 at 04:38 PM. |
