It is a special stakes day Mike. You are right they normally run at night so I posted the time with the race but I guess you missed it. No great loss. Maybe Tim will have an interesting one for us tomorrow.

Sunday 8/2 DMR #3
Sorry I'm a bit late with this. Here is a 6 furlong race from DMR with 8 horses running. Post time is 3:11 PDT which is about the same time the AP will be doing his thing at MTH.

DMR Race 3
Got a 22 and change quarter going. Seeing a wire job by the 5 with the 4 maybe catching. Pook 4,5 |

Tim, are you at Del Mar today? If so, I might see you - same place as where we met a couple of years ago. I plan to be there about 1245 or thereabouts

I thought about going to Del Mar this year but decided not to after being in Oregon for a month. Good Luck, Tim |

Del Mar #3:
When I put this race up, I didn't see much pace pressure. Now that 5 has been scratched, there is less pace pressure. Almost by default, I think the 4 will get the lead which is a place he doesn't want to be. He likes to run 4th at the first call. I'm guessing the 1st call at 22.3 with the half about 45.4. I think the horses who will run well under this scenario are sustained horses. So, my top 2 horses are the 3 and the 7. In race like this, the best sustained horses are the routers that show good times at the stretch call in routes. The 3 fits this scenario. The 3 is my choice to win. Tim |
