Henrio,

yes,it is manual input. If you play a lot of races,it's quite a pain in the ***...but if you specialize on a few races a day like me,it's not a hustle.Putting in data for 4 contenders is a breeze and the program adjusts all the data automatically...after doing it awhile ,you get that feeling that Mike Pizzola always says,"let the bet make you"...

Adjustments

Hey Ray,

It has been almost 20 years since I used Synthesis, but something Howard told me back then worked pretty well for me. He said to cut the adjustments in half.

IIRC, there was a screen that came up after you entered the lines, and on that screen it showed all the adjustments and a sum of the adjustments and then a chance to enter a manual adjustment. So if the total adjustment for a horse was 4.2 as an example, you would enter a manual adjustment of -2.1 to reduce the total adjustment to 2.1 which is half of the 4.2 original adjustment.

Back when Howard told me about this, it worked really well, especially when horses were coming from different tracks.

You might test it and see if it still works. I haven't used Synthesis since the early 2000's so things might not be the same these days, but back then, I found that the adjustments were too large, and Howard's trick to simply cut them in half was great.

Best of luck out there,

Dan
