Keeneland Boycott
HANA is having some success with promoting a boycott of Keeneland Race Course. The first few days are down double-digits in handle. They are wishing more would support their cause against increased takeout. I support this and haven't bet a dime there.
Please participate in the boycott. It is good for all of us players in the long run. Pook Last edited by The Pook; 10-13-2017 at 01:29 PM. |

Pook : Just read that Kee.'s handle was down 8.4 % and over 11 million $$$$$$. I'd say that's a significant amount.
The players always bear the brunt of everything and collectively don't unite for better racing and treatment. While we make the merry go round turn and are the juice through our wagering that's keeps the wheels greased we're also the "Rodney Dangerfield" that get no respect. Even leading owner Ramsey was against the increase in take. They have to realize that their not the only show around and we can't be mistreated any longer. Ditto for these trainers that continually get a pass for drugging horses that effect our wagers. While they blame the weather for the decrease they'll eventually come face to face with the truth. Pook , rmath. lets do this again next year with Kee. as we can make a difference collectively.Power in numbers and pace numbers. RDSS factors are not track specific so the hell with KEE. Mitch,
Right on man. It looks like it worked out. Aside from whether it will actually save any of us money in the long run, it shows that we players can come together and have a voice. That is important. Touche Pook |
