Haskel today

Everything is improving with several colts here: Howling Time, White Abarrio. Cyberknife, Jack Christopher and Benevengo. What fate is ahead of the expensive inexperienced BABY is of yet hard to project, Taiba? He may have to stand on his One Race Wonder numbers from the S A Derby which dwarf all of these, BUT, that was alone on the lead without any pressure whatsoever, and that WON'T be the case here. LATE pace, usually NOT a great predictor at this distance, has it 2 (from SA Derby)6 1 4 7

Realistically Taiba has run only a single race (SA Derby) that compares with this field...He may be a flop or a bad luck wonder horse. NO ONE knows for sure, except he would be a horrible bet today with ???? and short odds surrounding him.

This projects to be OVERLOADED early, but that format has been the style for many a past winner here...Forty Niner comes to mind.

If a wager should go down here, it would have to be a very good price..7 6 8 1 and/or IF the baby has matured and can handle TOUGH early fractions. ONE TO WATCH as it is too close, and with the BIG question mark of Taiba, making it even more complicated.... Even if that one "wakes up" to an earlier state of ability, the price would be ridiculous.....Try Delaware or Woodbine.

I have rarely seen a major race (short of the Derby or Breeder's Cup Turf) with so many questions...One thing for sure, I'll wager it will be a great race TO WATCH!...Good luck to hose brave enough to play it.
