Races taken off the turf

Hi Guys,

When a race is taken off the turf which pace lines do you look at for the horses. I know in the matchup it says to compare turf/poly with turf/poly and dirt with dirt. Many times with a turf race is taken off the turf the horses have more turf lines than dirt lines. Would it still be possible to compare the horses using the turf lines, or should we use dirt lines if they are available. This whole weekend there were quite a few races taken off the turf, especially on the east coast. I tried using the dirt lines when I could but only got about a quarter of the races right.

Thank you for your time.

This is a problem... it would be nice if you could manually change the distance and surface of the race in RDSS2. I know that at mountaineer, the 7f turf gets switched to 6f dirt a lot after a rain.

I always try to use a race in the last 4 that is the same dist and surface and track condition as today's race, if I cannot find one in the last 4, I default to the last race. It isn't perfect, especially with RDSS2 thinking it is still a turf race, but what can you do?

You can change the surface and distance of the race by right-clicking on the distance or surface in the card summary as shown.

Cool, I didn't realize you could change the distance/surface. That will definitely help in the future!
