Ahhh the froth is coming off the boil. Two weeks in a row with no hits for the winner. Mick saved himself with a place on the 6 for a small profit on the race. Half way along and there are 7 out of 9 in the black. Good stuff!

Mick is the story of the week collecting $28.60 for $4 with no other winners. This shoots him right up the standings. Cigar is the leader at this point as the only qualifier to date.

Not much change with 3 players collecting a $4.40 price.

Mowens and Gandalf tagged the $10.80 winner. Lots of movement on the board with four players missing it. Ted through lack of participation has DQ'd himself. Thanks for the $150 Ted! That old dog the Wiz is back atop the standings once again.

With 7 challenges remaining I included an extra graphic this week showing total handle from the players still qualified. Of note is the relatively small amounts that lostandwon and Capcondo have laid down. They are extremely susceptible to wild swings and will have to continue to play with laser sharp accuracy. Which they may well do.

Good luck to all in the home stretch.

Excellent race from cigar and cigar had it..... but for sloppy posting. Mow did have the $14.90 price to put him in good standing for the finish. Everybody is still in it including Pat who continues to take up the rear. Looks like some are coasting, having done the heavy lifting early, hoping the rest of us implode.

Okay. So PatC gets himself up off the mat. Barely. He and Mick have the winner at $3.80 for a net loss on the week. Lostandwon has not yet qualified but has a solid lead. He can sit still, lose two singles, and qualify with a 75.5% ROI. The rest of us are going to have to make a move on him. Gandalf, mowens and Mick have the best shots at this point. 3 to go.

Updated this to reflect cigars place bet on 6 which I forgot. Thanks cigar for pointing that out. Everybody should track their own returns. I do make mistakes.

Chaos. Toughest race we have played or attempted to play. And we all know the right play was no play. But I was certainly impressed with lost and cigars almost winner....the 7. Five players have good quality ROI's at this point. Some of us are suffering from swinging at anything trying to get back into it. Understandable in contests. To win these things you have to have a delicate balance of matching and contest skills. Five guys in the black. Good skill boys!

Lostandwon pads his lead with the only score of $10.80 to place. He looks pretty comfortable up there but 2nd and 3rd are very much up for grabs. One to go.
