You are welcome Bill. I don't make many changes to the CSR # anyway. To me it's the weakest factor of the 4 anyway.

Hi Storm. Richies' longshot angle is simply to look for any non contender the ranks in the top 5 of both CSR and VDC. I think he posted it in a thread but I don't remember when. He would put $2 to win on them[depending on odds]. If the horse had some corollary support in the primary bl/bl factors he would also use it in dds or exactas. I look for longshot horses everyday and do pretty well with them. Rich and I were friends for over 30 yrs and talked everyday[usually working races together] He do GP and I do Parx.
Although never an official teacher Rich worked with anyone who asked for his help. He actually won enough money playing at Mtn to build his first home[Doc published several of his signers in the F/U,]. He was nicknamed the computer guy by the folks at the track. His passing was a great loss to all of us. You can't go wrong using his approach to id true contenders. Good luck Tim

The track was MNR [Mountaineer]. Rich was the one that got me to look more at the mid to low level tracks and away from my home NYRA circuit. Needless to say it worked out well for me in the long run.

Thanks and you are welcome. You would have liked Rich if you had gotten to know him. If I can help with anything else just fire off your questions and I'll try to answer the best I can.

The four
SO YOU HAVE TO HAVE AT LEAST 1 #3]?
IF YOU HAVE 1 1 1 1 and a 3 3 3 3 then the 3 3 3 3 would be the one to bet on? just trying to get it right.... thanks |

Don the 1111 is the stronger horse. What Rich meant was according to his records when horses have all 4 numbers the winners usually had at least 1 #3 rank ie
1122 strong win 3313 ok win 4444x not for win 2221 strong win 2345 marginal win Tim
