My thoughts on the breeders cup
As a racing fan for over 50 years, I love the breeders cup. Bringing together all these good thoroughbreds from all over the country and the world makes for 2 entertaining days of racing. From a betting standpoint, it is challenging. I believe I read Dr. Sartin said pass turf races if 1 or more starters are from Europe. If you follow his advice, that would eliminate all 7 turf races. I don't bet 2 yr. olds, so that leaves 5 dirt races on Saturday. All those races, I believe, have legitimate favorites. The dirt and turf races alternate. If you follow docs advice, that would eliminate doubles, pick 3's etc. There are many good bets every day all year at racetracks all over the country, so I don't feel the need to force bets just because it is racing's biggest day. All that being said, I will probably play 1 or 2 small pick 4's Saturday. Why, you might ask? I do like the challenge and I can afford a small investment. I don't post much, but I read pace and cap every day. I appreciate all the contributors to this forum.
Good Racing to all!
