The October RDSS Learn To Win Contest Winners

It is now OFFICIAL Here are the winners of the October 2012 RDSS "Learn To Win Contest "

CHUCKG is our big winner. With a final score of $2861.25 and a ROI of 36%
Mr Bradshaw would be very proud of Chuck and his Match Up skills.

Chuck once again took great care to clearly explain the Match Up steps he uses to WIN

He was the winner of the September contest Sartin Messenger award

In 2nd Place was Noddub62 .

Budman finished with a Score of $2260 and a ROI of $13% Bud is our most consistent top finisher, Besides a off month of September, Bud has won or finished in the top 4 every month

3rd Place goes to the always popular PKTruckdriver.

Patrick wins the unofficial Most Improved from Sept award

Patrick also contributes many pre and post race comments
He is very generous with his limited time. to post questions and
offer congratulations to successful score by his piers

4th place goes to RMath

Richard is another very consistent top finisher, Every month
he is right up top of the score sheet
He scores some of the biggest wins. Of his 5 posted winners
4 of them were Blue Stars = over $9.00 wins

BLUE STAR Award

There was a 5 way tie for the Blue Star Prize

The top 5 finishers of the contest all had 4 blue star wins

Chuckg

Noddub62

Partick

Rmath

Bill V.

The winner is Chuckg

Ted and I used a very complicated system to break the tie.
The five winners were each assigned a random number
27,54,96, 45 and 76

Ted was send a Email message from me with
DO NOT OPEN as the subject

I attached to that email a file were I identified
the name of each man with one of those random numbers. Ted had no way to know what those five numbers represented
I then asked Ted in a second email to give me one of the 5 random numbers

Ted picked # 27

I then told Ted to open the Email and open the attachment

He saw # 27 was Chuckg

Chuckg wins a brand new Del Mar XLarge Blue Fleece shirt

SARTIN MESSENGER

The winner of the Sartin Messenger award will be named by Ted

PRIZE Winners will pick in this order

Chuckg picks his prize
then Noddub62 picks 1 of the remaining 3 prizes
Patrick then picks and then Rmath gets the final prize

Here are the Contest Prizes for October.

1. $200 Cash
2. 1 month Unlimited RDSS Bundle Data (Charts+PPs)
3. $150 Cash
4. 1 year RDSS subscription extension

Congratulations to the winners of the RDSS October "Learn To Win " Contest

Sartin Messenger Prize

Congratulations to the top finishers!

Bill and I talked about the Sartin Messenger Prize for best effort in explaining their and others' races - a crucial contribution to the central theme of the Contest, namely education.

This month the choice came down to 2 people: ChuckG and Bill V - both of whom have gone beyond in helping us understand their own races and in Bill's case, many other races. Since Chuck has won the Top Contest Prize this month, AND the Blue Star Prize for most mutuels over $9.00 (on tie-break) AND also won a 1 month extension to his RDSS subscription for a Hit Rate over .500 - I felt it fair to choose Bill V as this month's winner of the Sartin Messenger Prize. We got the Message - thank you Bill for your effort in education - we owe you!

Congratulations ChuckG - an excellent job this month - we have all learned on-the-job more about using the Matchup. An excellent piece of work.

Looking forward to November!

Ted

Well , I mananged to get 3rd, responded to many many questions, as well as recieve some awesome advice and suggestions, some taken and some still being learned, and was told I helped a few people too , which was cool, yet I may not be able to keep it up. Bill does well here, and I will not ask him to explain his tie breaking procedures, I'll never understand it. Yet this guy who won the Blue Star Contest too, he did have the most hits, to me, this makes sense, sure hope he can help me , he is The Match-up guy someone said before, he won the Sartin Messenger last month , now everything else this month, congrats to you.

If it it OK by the other three winners, I would like to choose the RDSS software extension. I am nearing the end of my first year using RDSS. I have just started to learn how to make consistant paceline and betting decisions. The results are now beginning to follow.

Chuckg, you won so it is your choice as to the prize you take.
Congratulations on winning.

I will get what is left since I finished 4th.
Was a good contest and I will strive to continue to finish in the top 5 this next month.

Wow

Chuck
That is a very nice move. and I feel the one year extension is a very
important and undervalued at $160

To me that shows a strong commitment to learn and win with RDSS
Chuck please send me in a Private Message your snail mail address so I can send you your BLUE STAR award

RMath Thank you for understanding the prize distribution policy
congrats again for a good month

Ted Thank you so much for naming me Sartin Messenger for October
I would like to donate my prize money back to the November contest fund

The 1 year RDSS software subscription extension is valued at $100 (not $160). $160 is the value of the 1 month RDSS data prize.

Noddub - would you please now choose your prize from the 3 remaining ($200 cash, 1 month RDSS Data, $150 cash).

Bill - a pleasure! You work hard and have helped many. Very generous of you to contribute the $50 prize back to November!

Ted

Ted

Would it be possible to take a one year extension of RDSS and donate the $100 to the November contest? (I'm planning on winning it!!)

Thanks,
Bud

Sure Bud! If I understand you right, you're taking the $200 Cash prize in the form of a 1 year RDSS subscription extension ($100) and a $100 contribution to the November Prize Fund.

That would leave the RDSS Data Prize and the $150 cash prize.

Did I get that right?

Ted
