The local TV station ran a investigative report saying since 2014
that 160 horses have died there and that CT runs the 2nd most dates
of any track in the country.

The humane society is trying to get them to cut down from the 220 days
feeling that running so many races may be the cause of this.

Of course the horsemen want more days as they say otherwise they will
go broke.
