Wow! You don't see this often.

Finger Lakes Sept 19 1st Race

Yesterday was a chalkfest at good old FL. Today the first race is a 5 horse field and at the decision point the favourite was 1/9. Using FTL guidelines I had it down to the favourite #2 and #4 at 47/1 at the time, the longest odds horse. The thinking was what chance does my other contender have against a 1/9. We all know the usual outcome. But the odds were way out of skew and I bet them both with 40% of my bet on the 4 on the nose.

The favourite was out of the money. The 4 pays nearly as much to show as to win.

Weird,
Pook

Pook:

You deserve HUGE CONGRATS for that one. My hat is off to you and I hope your 40% was a big bet. Either way very nice capping as to how you got it but I don't think it falls within FTL guidelines as he throws out 20-1 shots. However this horse wasn't 20-1 M/L with only 5 horses in the race but the percentages for win are the same whether M/L or actual odds.

I' so happy for you Pook and a great job capping and wagering.

Thanks guys. Just shows what hanging in there and being consistent can do for you. A positive return like that can turn up anywhere including a 5 horse Finger Lakes field.

As Bill says...may the 4 horse be with you! Each and everyone of you guys.
