Alternate reality

What in the world is Mr. Z doing in the King Cotton today at Oaklawn? beaten over 92 lengths in only 4 races in two years, D. Wayne cannot ever accept the fact that the animal is "done."

Did that with Mine That Bird and Take Charge Brandi of late. The latter's LAST line at Parx:" stopped abruptly." over-raced her at two

check out the % median and total energy reversal: CLASSIC for going off form big time. 9 2 7 have met the best paces of race CURRENTLY, this one left it's best on the track LONG AGO.

You propose a bet WITHOUT seeing what the odds are? That is not going to do you in good shape over the long run.

1 3 9 scratched out of that race

My long run has been doing very well since 1997
Are you really telling me how to bet ?

You don't want to go there ,

I put my bets in and move on. Been burnt to many times being a slave to the tote

Oh by the way The polite reply could have just as easy been
"Bill the 1 3 and 9 are scratched,"

Smile Tim and enjoy yourself little :-)

I see it all the time: there are TWO games afloat here each and every day at the race track and the rank and file OVERDO one (to the degree of ad nauseum), and forget the other.

This is a GAMBLING game NOT a handicapping one. The latter depends upon the former no doubt, BUT they have to work together. It takes a much different approach (almost an anal rigid rule based mechanism) to figure out WHEN it is WORTH a wager (or a differing wager TYPE) and when it is NOT versus the innovative approaches on the other side of the coin. To not recognize the two, very different challenges, is to miss the point of the entire game.

This latter skill differentiates the long term winners in this game.

Imagine ANY OTHER FORM of investment: stock market, real estate, commodities......Imagine NOT looking at the asking price before you invested?

AMAZING

Z

This one raced against softer today and, as expected, did not hit the board.
