Kentucky Downs - Sept 6
Because the fields are so big at Kentucky Downs and the odds usually generous, I keep it simple and dutch multiple horses. Exotics, both horizontal and vertical, are never easy to hit, but at KD they are very difficult. (When I do play something like a double, it's usually with one or two standouts in the first leg and the ALL button in the next.)
There's a chance of rain this afternoon in Franklin, Kentucky and if it materializes, that might affect my picks. At the moment, however, here are my best guesses as to the win contenders, in numerical order. I'll usually dutch three, four and sometimes five horses if the odds are there. R1 - 3, 4 R2 - 2, 3, 6 R3 - 2, 7 (Caveat: 8 FTS) R4 - 4, 5, 8, 10 R5 - 4, 8, 11 (Caveat: 5 FTS) R6 - 2, 10, 12 R7 - 5, 8, 9, 10 R8 - 4, 5, 6, 7 R9 - 2, 5, 7, 12, 15 R10 - 2, 9, 11 I also keep my bets small, e.g. $20 per race, because ol' KD has pitched me more shutouts than I care to remember. |

Stilll at novice at uploading screens, but gonna try:
Letting the machine pick all the pace lines, using an algo (work in progress) to separate win/secondary/non contenders. Lets see how it goes today. Richard KD r4: |
