New Survey
I just completed a survey of P-6 races at GP.
The survey covered 840 p-6 races from Jan thru today. This survey includes all kinds of races not covered in my last survey. There are many Maiden races with FTS horses ,a lot of Turf races and a lot of races with less than 8 horses entered. The Top 5 Profit Line and Prime power horses won 92% of all the races. They were also in 88 of the 140 P-6s or 62.9% . Using the 4 Factors on these contenders I was able to get 75% winners in my top 3 horses. Rmath |

Thanks LT & Mitch.
I was a little surprised that the results were identical to my more restricted test from a few years ago. It only proves that ( to me at least ) a good contender selection method is a great foundation for success. Like Doc and Jimmy used to say at the seminars , If you put the true contenders into the program there is no reason anyone should not succeed. Rmath |

Richie I'm not at all surprised at the results as their in line with my original studies. They still get a good amount of those Maiden races, particularity Md. Clm. races. I've always treated them like any other race.

Maidens
Hi Rich, good stuff. Question on the Maiden Races. How are you treating a maiden race with 2 or 3 first time starters?

Charlie, Yes I keep track of all my horses by the rankings
If you would like to discuss this any further give me a call. raceman5, In maiden races I follow Docs guideline about passing any maiden race with 2 or more FTS horses. With that said I will play a maiden IF the P-6 has a large carry over and the other 5 races look playable. I will use a FTS if it ranks in the top 2 or 3 Profit Line horses, IF the cost is reasonable. Hope this helps guys. Rmath. |
