July 12th Marathons

Arlington:
R 7 10 Furlongs Turf, Arlington Handicap - #1 and #2 are highweigts
* R 8 12 Furlongs Turf, Stars and Stripes - #7 HW, #10 2nd HW but why
R 9 9-3/16 Fur. Turf, American Derby - all 3 YO
R10 9-3/16 Fur. Turf, Modesty, 3+ Fillies/Mares - #13 HW, several others 1# less

Belmont
R 9 - 12 furlongs Turf, Bowling Green, Grade 2 - #5 (122) and #3 (120) H/wts

Delaware
R 8 - 12 Furlongs Turf, Stake, 3+
* R 9 - 10 furlongs Dirt, Grade 1, Delaware Handicap - #6 HW

Delaware 9th: Princess of Sylmar might be a single - 134.0 best mile
Belle Gallantey might go wire to wire with no other pace pressure; could be getting better, was 1.75 behind POS in last - 134.4. All other horses have best mile times of 136.7 or >.

Arlington 8th - 12 turf
2 pressers, 2 SP and 6 S types.

6-7-8 are most likely pacesetters, with 7 and 8 more likely pressing - best miles in order are 137.0-136.4-136.0 respectively. The 7 and 8 run 2-2-2 and 3-3-3 and have run successfully off of mid 112 six furlong times.

The 5 horse last race mile time was 135.6, running 8-4-2, off of a 111.2 pace. has only won at C40 level, while 7 and 8 are competitive in G3 races, sometimes. ML is 20/1! I will box 5-7-8. Scare horse could also be #10 but not for win. note middle move in last, gained pos and lengths - then faded.

I am working on the others....

2nd group

Arlington 7th, 10 furlongs turf, Grade 3 handicap

1 Ep and all the rest are S.

#1 runs 135.2 off of a 112.2, runs 9-8-6
#6 runs 135.6 off of a 113.8, runs 7-5-5 but has beaten the 1 twice by very close margins.

My third horse is either the 2nd high wt, the 2 or the only likely pacesetter, the 4. I do not see where the 2 has been on lead in any meaningful pace and has not passed anything late in races.

Arlington 9th - 9-3/16 furlongs, Turf, American Derby, grade 3

Best three are 135.0/135.2/135.2 respectively the 4, 9 and 3. The 4 runs 2-2-1 and the 9 and 3 close well. The 4 is 3/1 and the other two are 8/1

Belmont - race 9 Bowling Green

The 6 has run 133.0/134.5 off of 110.4/113.4 paces; closes 10-4-2/5-3-2 and appears to get jump on highweight #5 1345.0 - 9-8-7. The fastest mile times come from the 1 who runs really sustained, but has made ground up in two sub 134 miles off of 110.8/110.4 paces. Today's pace is likely 113-114 range from the 2. The 1 always closes well, but got beat in tandem by 6, 3 back.

My picks are 6-5-1.

Arlington 10, 9-3/16 furlongs Turf, Grade 3 Handicap

Lost of late here,
E-1
EP-1
P-2
SP-2
S-8

Pacewise, the 11 and 3 probably duel each other into submission with the 11 a little better. expect about 112 pace perhaps slower.

Best miles are from:
7 - 133.8, 4-4-2 off 110.2
4 - 134.0, 8-8-7 off 110.4
13- 134.4, 2-2-1, off 111.0
14- 135.4, 6-7-1, off 111.2

13 gets first run, with 7 close behind. My top three are 7-13-14 with the 4 closing fastest but too far back.
