1 more look at charting doubles, exactas
This was r9 on 9-17-23 at bel/ aqu
I refined Illich’s method to suit me. If u look at the ratios in the doubles you’ll see the two shortest ones with a 2&6 ratio. Now the winner the race before paid $2.90, so the ratios were low. Had he paid $22.90 all the ratios would’ve been higher BUT the principle remains the same! Anyhow, the 12,9,and 4 had 8-8-9 ratios, but the 3 which was a higher double was a 7 ratio. True the 2 was a 5 ratio but was only a $42 double so he was in line with the #8&5 horses. So once you see where the money might have gone in the doubles now I turn my attention to those horses in the exactas. Now true these are the final odds and exacta prices but the principle remains the same. Now if you’re quick enough to spot what I saw you can make some money! The #1-11 were both 3-1 on board and with the 12 you see a 595 exacta. When you look at the 3’s exactas with the 11 he was 1157 BUT with the 1 he was 392, almost an 800 difference but more importantly was 200 less than the 12 horse. The 3 was almost double the odds on the board than the 12. Mathematically that should not be, so that tells me the 3 is a very live horse on the board. If you look at his pp’s u probably would pass him by, but he did take money in his last race compared to his prior races if I recall so you can say the connections touted him. I really doubt they wanted to try at a shorter price than previously. That’s how I think. So you think what you want. I alway approached the game as dishonest or disingenuous and I dared them to try and hide the money from me. These guys are not Rhodes scholars and even the top trainers winning all sorts of money still scheme and cheat. If you watch the board you’ll beat them at their own game too. I’m still in rehab. I really screwed up my bad hip and still can’t walk. May be here for a few months and am giving up my apartment. Probably wind up in assisted living until doctors decide to give me a new hip. Not a good candidate. Omar |

Here’s another example I emailed to a friend of mine early this morning. This had a slightly different betting pattern than the 9/17 race BUT the principle remains the same. The key with this method is to recognize the patterns in the exacta/dd by the way the”wise guys” are betting their horse.
ust eyeballing the doubles I can see the 3 is 2x the 10 but is 3x his m/l. Doubles are usually played by m/l of following race. The ratio of the 3 is close to the 6 horse. I try to first zero in on horses whose ratios are close to either of the two shortest d.d. prices. Most people handicap and hope to get a price on their selection. If you want a price horse then you should start by finding the ones that appear to be taking “Sneaky Money”! In the exactas the 3 is too close to the 2 and 9 who were half the odds of the 3, looking at the 5 and 6. Even with the 7 also and by the way who eliminates the 5-6(too close in exactas) from win only. You see how they ran. I have know idea how they look on paper, nor do I know the type of race it was or the surface or the age of the horses. It really doesn’t matter. I do know that the trainer, Ron Moquett, is another crook out of Louisiana. Look at Laurel r5 on 9-30-23
If this is not a pure play from Al Illich then I don’t know what is. I bet the 7 with 2 minutes to post(18-1). Used him around the 9-5-6-1-2. When the announcer said he was 35-1, I almost popped out of my wheelchair. Not only that but the exacta goes up almost $100 and that’s with the chalk! Maybe I’m nutz but he’s the only single digit ratio in the race!! Horses with higher doubles went off less than he did. Way to go whales. I guess after that race they shifted their attention to Santa Anita because I saw chalk after chalk, ha, ha… By the way, no pp’s required. Alas poor Brisnet, I knew them well. Here’s what my scratch sheet looked like along with the other screenshots Omar http://paceandcap.com/forums/attachm...1&d=1696125190 http://paceandcap.com/forums/attachm...1&d=1696125190 http://paceandcap.com/forums/attachm...1&d=1696125190 http://paceandcap.com/forums/attachm...1&d=1696125190 http://paceandcap.com/forums/attachm...1&d=1696125414 http://paceandcap.com/forums/attachm...1&d=1696125414 |

You won’t find my exacta charting in any book since I spent years developing it myself. Now ask yourself how the 7 could be 35-1 when the 1-2-3 horses are lower odds with higher doubles. Amazing isn’t it. Omar Last edited by omar; 10-01-2023 at 10:34 AM. |
