What are your thoughts on the Belmont?
I have #8 Tiz The Law taking over the race at the second call.

I see a lot of value with the #1 horse. I wouldn't be surprised if it were down to him and the #8.

You mean, what do I think about a G1 9f race at Belmont in the early Summer for 3 YOs which happens to have a $1 mil purse (and happens to be labeled 'Belmont Stakes')? It could be anything! It sure doesn't feel like anything comparable to the historical Belmont Stakes, so it isn't.

Here's what I've got:

#8 Tiz The Law seems perfect for this distance and calibre of competition and is priced accordingly.

#2 Sole Volante has been dead consistent in several Graded Stakes and well bet - a class contender and has hit the SR mark in the neighbourhood of #8 and #1. Not run 9f so far.

#4 Modernist likes this distance but will have to improve its pace and final time, though it has a consistent later energy distro than anyone else.

#1 Tap It to Win and #4 may soften up #8 early (though #8 doesn't insist on running early in the top half). This horse has not earned its rep against as high a calibre of competition as many of the others and is the kind I would toss for a classical Preakness or Kentucky Derby match up. it could finish in the money.

Looks like #8 and #2 so far on top, with #4 underneath and maybe #10 at a price with late closing ability and good Late energy distro.

Ditto. Calling this race the Belmont is a joke and a fraud. This is pure greed on the part of the industry in general and the track in particular. The only thing more laughable would be if there is a "Triple Crown" winner this year.
