Really strange

Parx is going to a Saturday, Monday and Tuesday schedule until September

They are giving their fans a break however by running on Fathers Day

It is all about the casino, They have a good niche racing Monday and Tues , And they
Figure they can get a good Saturday racing/ Saturday night casino crowd,
SUNDAY afternoon is probably the busiest day for the casino , they probably want to cater parking and food services to that crowd

It may have something to do with both MTH and Del now open and trying to avoid short fields since all 3 draw from the same horse pools. Who needs 3 track running 5 horse fields.

Miss

I only have been to Parx a few times since it became a casino with racing,
On Sundays it was packed, On Saturdays they had a nice crowd . As I was leaving after the last race ( not a casino bettor ) there were a lot more people coming in than exiting ,

They used to run the Pennsylvania derby on Labor day Monday , I don't think I was ever there on a Monday or Tuesday for more then a few races. That was a fun time. I miss Philly Park

All the East Coast tracks from NY to MD have been altering the days they race on. 5 day race weeks are disappearing quickly. Like Bill I enjoy playing Parx and I'm disappointed to see Sunday racing cease for now.

I miss when it used to be called Keystone

My favorite jockey was Rick Wilson, he was great at rating a horse
on the front end

Later went to Laurel and got involved in a bad spill which left
him paralyzed
