Decided to bet it the last minute:

COMPLETED: 5b16a-eed89 MTH #12 $4 Win 6, 7 none $8.00 $40.80 + $32.80
Benn playing good prices today so why not, really didn't like and thought it came up tough. This was really luck & a SWAG.

Mitch you pulled it out of the bag at the last moment. Good call. I indicated WP on my bet on the 3. I didn't do that. Win only. Still a loss,

Dave I didn't realize that that was the 5 on the inside of the 7. That was close! Too bad.

I looked at this in RDSS much earlier and couldn't really get it down to 2 or 3 horses. At last minute took a stab, I was going to pass it.L2 was a throw out and he needed last .Has won twice before. Used line 3 and he came up last on BLBL I figured he hadn't disgraced himself yet.

BLBL can't be bet blindly, you have to analyze the horses chart. With 3 yr olds all of them . With older I usually analyze the top 4. Pure luck on this one.

Thanks Pook, nice hit Mitch, well done on finding that one.

Thanks for posting this race Bill. As I wasn't on with my own money it lessened the blow somewhat.
Still a good learning experience. Interesting to watch how #1 Irish War Cry ran out of steam in the stretch after facing other E competition. Harder to judge the performance of Timeline after a bad start to be fair.

Thanks.

On my Pick 4 ticket, I bet "ALL" on the Haskell because with this lackluster crop of 3YOs there doesn't seem to be much separation. (Unfortunately, I was knocked out in an earlier leg.) At post time for the Haskell, I dialed back my bet amount and played Girvin because of his odds and the fact he looked as capable as any of the others. I was down $45 at the time and he got me back in the black. I would prefer to be "good" but I'll take "lucky."

Seeing this made me smile. "Born to Run" is one of my favorite Bruce times.

See you in two weeks, Bill.
