I'm with you Bill on the shoulda. I capped the 7 & 9 lookin g for the DD. Went to get a haircut and just did get my win bet in on the 7th but not the double and in the 9th I had the 1 & 13. Missed a really nice paying DD.
COMPLETED: 5602a-794df SAR #7 $2 Win 2, 3 none $4.00 $25.40 + $21.40 I'm lucky in that I can quickly get over stuff like this. What a huge little word, shoulda. Mitch44 |

The race had too many unknowns for me to play it. I came up with 8-5-9, (and for reasons I won't try to explain, it was *bet on all three, to win or pass*). It looks like the odds may have been OK for that, had I played it. When I've developed the numbers enough to say something intelligent on them, I'll try to present it, but, the race numbers in my (trial) *Wager Quality* concept were rather poor, (in that they didn't show a very large advantage in my first two choices, over the next best 3 runners. I probably would have passed just for that reason, but as I said, I wouldn't have even looked at the race as a wagering opportunity, anyway. Great job done by Pook, Mitch and Tim.

I handicapped the races similar to you for the paper. Gave out the exacta for the 8th and just missed the 9th. I watched the replay of the 9th several times and still can't believe that the one could not get up for the win. It is pretty apparent from the racing on Sunday and Monday that the dirt stretch was adjusted Saturday nite-probably sand added to try to make it safer. Four horses broke down on Fri and Sat on the main track between the 1/4 pole and the 1/8th pole. In addition, the winner of the Shuvee on Sunday fractured her ankle and her career is probably over.
