Out on bail or rather got bailed out late

Hi I had a rough day today after a sweet win and early pick 3
Nothing else happened. I made the mistake of latching on to Mike Smith.
Yeah he showed Bob Baffert he made a mistake, Yeah right, Smith rode terrible in all his rides and he killed 3 singles.

I was down to 30 bucks going into the classic
Well, time to go back to the one that brought me to this horse racing party.

I just bet 2 horse win The 8 and 10
I boxed 3 horse in the exacta 8 10 1
I boxed 4 horses in the trifecta 1 4 8 10
All were top horse on VDC.

The 10 wins and the 8 places.

I get a win and the exacta and I'm up about 26 bucks.

As the crowd was leaving, The 10th at Golden Gate was going off in 10
minutes. I quickly downloaded GG, I selected my lines. Best of the last three.
I hid down to the top 5 primary line score and total energy.
The 1 was 9/5 I hid the 5 now my top 3 VDC were 5 6 4
I followed Doc's instructions and bet the horse that would pay at least 5/2
that was the 6. For my second horse, I bet the best overlay of the 3 VDC horses, That was the 5. For the exacta, I used the hide horse #1 and the 5 and 6

The 5 wins but the hidden #1 horse and 6 horse did not fire so no exacta.

Not able to bet more than a few bucks but I bailed myself out enough to take Bree out to dinner <3

Great job Bill. All that experience and knowledge paid off. I had the 1 in my mix also.

One of the big keys to the Classic was the distance factor as only 4 horses had won at the distance, one of which was the # 10 who won. Most pay little attention to distance and surface which are big factors in my analysis of contenders. Every horse has a best distance and surface. Even if a Gr 1 type such as Mc Kinzie when their out of their element they don't win .( except went they really overwhelm their competition but not against proven dis. & surface runners for today's class.)

As I've said before SR's, Total Energy, TPR etc. can help one to dial into a horses best dis. and surface. Ignore at your own peril.
