Laurel Race 8 Feburary 21
I was thinking about Bill V and thought he might want to keep this topic alive so decided to put up a race.It's a very competitive field, sorry not good with doing caputures so doing it by hand. I am using Synergism 3 the pars are over 10 years old but still seems to do the job
4 L2 88 89 177 5 L1 86 91 177 6 L1 90 86 176 7 L3 88 87 175 2 L2 92 82 174 1 L1 82 89 171 I will play 4 & 5 to win and box 4-5-7 Jeff |

Well the 4 ran 2nd at 2-1, if you would have boxed the top three in a exacta you would have hit it for 95.00 as the 6 won at 8-1

Jeff, funny, I was thinking about Bill too this weekend!
FWIW, here's that race in RDSS, out of the box (automatic) - Ted

Hi Ted
Thanks Actually when I first did the race I used the Penn line which did put the horse on top and it came out 6-4 which would have hit the 95.00 exacta on top plus the 8 to 1 shot. But for some reason did not trust that line and instead used it last line which was at Laurel at 5.5 furlongs which I usually dont like to use on 6 furlong races.I did end up saving playing a 4-6 box as I keyed the 4. When I used RDSS in the past I only used TPR for my handicapping and was able to double my bank working with Bill V. The numbers are very good in the program

I know this is after the fact but here is the original way I had it setup
using Number 6 Penn line 6 L2 90 88 178 4 L2 88 89 177 5 L1 86 91 177 7 L3 88 87 175 2 L2 92 82 174 1 L1 82 89 171 That's what I get for second guessing myself and the program Jeff |

Do you mean Shoeless in Synergism, or me in RDSS?
I'm not really a specialist - or proponent - of just TPR figures alone. The full spectrum Rx lines including BLBL/VDC and the ProfitLine and Prime Power ratings are superior IMO. My approach is closer to the '4 Factor Method' enhanced by Rx3 and live tote analysis, along with a touch of (primitive) Matchup analysis as required. Sometimes though, the (RDSS adjusted) TPR figs - as in this race - give you a good enough edge over the public. Ted

For someone like myself it is just easier for me using TPR because I
have a difficult time with the readouts. It is much better handicapping the way Ted does with RDSS, though the TPR numbers are very good in it. |
