for me

Well Jeff for Me its Val2006 and someday soon
Ted Cravens RDSS

I quote Doc about 1 month ago

"Bill The Match up is built into all the advanced programs
Just follow what Jimmy says .." Then enter the proper pace lines
then just go to BL/BL"

The "Jimmy" that Doc is referring to of course is Mr. Bradshaw

Happy Holidays

Bill,

You said "Well Jeff for Me its Val2006 and someday soon
Ted Cravens RDSS" in a reply to Jeff. What are you refering to when you mention Val2006?

Thanks,
Bud

I would think Bill meant Spec 160 but not too sure.

Val 2006

Val 2006 was a test version of Validator that Ted Rich and I
worked with, That "fixed" the wild speed ratings that regular
Validator, and the other advanced Sartin programs were
generating after the Feb1 changes from Trackmaster.
I have a copy Ted sent Doc examples of races were the winner
paid over $9.00 that we worked. Doc gave the new version a nice OK
This sort of developed after I talked to Doc about the changes
Trackmaster made. Ted and Rich did a great job working with the test
I still use val 2006 because I personally just can't get used to Philly $5000
claimers running 100+ speed ratings after for 9 years seeing them run 70's But I'm sure that if I had stayed with the original Val 3
I would have adjusted

This might help explain http://bindfold.com/forums/showthrea...hlight=Val2006

all i can say is i wish i had a val2006 here Bill, I bought a house 8 years ago from winnings using val2 and went on to val3 thanks to late Elaine Best. Soon after that trackmaster did that change and I have never used it since I had the same dilema as you did. sighhhhhhh((

Val 2

Dougout,

Gee.... I hear you. I think I hold the record for most races happily done with Val 2/3 at Philly Park.and Richie P just about every were else It was such a nice fit. Such a user friendly comfortable program. After the Feb 1 change I tried Spec but I just can never get a feel for it. I tried Val 3 again after the TM change Doc
and I were talking about it and how I was struggling believing the new readouts Doc loved Validator he was very hurt when things went down with it. He mentioned that it was like a child of his. Ted did very good for Doc by making that test version So I'm sure RDSS will be a good replacement
If it were possible mass produce Val forever I would never be dedicated to it always. I realize that in a competitive market
well what ever

Happy Holidays

Bill,

Thanks for the info on the programs. Is it possible to get the new improved Val? I hace Val 3C & SPEC 160 but I also had better results w/ Val. I think that with Spec I have too much summary data to look at. With Val all I used was the Val printout and wagercapped. By the way how about a wagercap topic? Sure could use one.

Thanks again,
Bud
