"Values over 100% mean a horse has raced competitively for purses higher than today’s – under 100% means the converse. One measure of Class."

Would 100% be equal to the 1.00 rating?
2.00 = 200% and so on...

lol, Nevermind, i'm looking at the wrong rating. Got it, thanks Ted.

that is what I'm asking under the rating that comes up in color is that his overall rating or the rating you get just from which paceline that is picked. I WAS AT THE TRACK LOOKING AT THE BOOK AND SAW A HORSE THAT HAD BEEN RUNNING AT A HIGHER CLASS FOR ABOUT 4 RACES ,BUT THAT NIGHT HIS LAST 2-3 RACES HE RAN FOR MUCH LOWER CLASS LIKE 6-5 AND HE WIRED THE FIELD. I MISSED HIM AND I DIDN'T HAVE MY RDSS WITH ME.POINT IS THAT ISTHE COLORED CLASS RATING TRUE CLASS OR WHAT.I HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU.HE HAD BEEN RUNNING FOR ALW.AND 20,000 RACES ANDHIS LAST FEW FOR BETWEEN 5AND 7000.
Al,

Did I answer your question satisfactorily in my post above? I thought I did. If not, can you rephrase it.

Perhaps it will be helpful if you say which race it was you are referring to in your example. We can look at that race in detail and see the relationships between the Class Ratings and the movement down the race condition ladder, the running style (the horse was Early), and the most appropriate paceline selection.

It sounds like it could be a good working example to deal with several points at one. Doesn't matter if you didn't work it in RDSS - I can put it up for discussion.

Do let us know.

Ted
