Fairgrounds March 14th

Well, although i have been keeping up with threads and reading new posts, it has been a while since i myself have posted here. I dedicated 6 months to focus mainly on playing paper and keeping very strict records of my play. I noticed that by posting on this site and keeping up with it regularly that i often began to switch up strategy from day to day on how i will play the races. Nothing against this site at all, i have learned so much from Ted and everyone here, i just thought it was necessary for me to take a few months to myself and put together everything that i have learned and find what really works for me. Well, 6 months later i am very happy with my personal stats and my success using RDSS2.
With all that aside, i had a very good Friday through Sunday last week, and with the Fairgrounds running today i figured i would do a race by race just to get my name back onto this site and play along with some of you guys out there today. Today won't be any serious betting for me. Im sitting here at the OTB waiting 10 more minuets for the first at Fairgrounds, and hope to make a little bit of money today, but mainly to have a little fun after 6 months of so much strict play and dedication to the proccess. I will be posting race 1 shortly, have a good day fellas.

Race 1: #1,#5,#6 Interest me.
Im still a little hesitant to play the #5 because his line is a Maiden win, and although this is a NW2/L i still don't love using Maiden lines.
#1 sits at 2/1 right now, and the #6 at 4/1. The #5 is 12/1
I will most likely bet the #1 and #5 and try to incorporate the #6 into an exacta.

Thanks Mowens!

Quick rundown of Race 2:
The #8 will be heavy favored and if he wins, he wins, but if i play this race I'm going to play against him. the #1, #2, #4 interest me.
#1 at 10/1, #2 at 12/1, and #4 at 5/1
That first race boosted me close to $400 so i have some money to voice my opinion here against the fav. My top two choices are the #1 and #4, but i will see how the odds play out. Have to leave the OTB for now but will be back home just after the second race. We'll see what happens.

Okay race #2 my top choice #4 scratched at the gate.
#1 and #3 would be my selections now, but no bet just because i don't have time to drive back to the OTb and I'm in the process of putting my $400 in my home account.
See you in the 3rd!

Late,

Good to have you back! The 5 in the 1st beat my 6 and 7. I can see how you had him. Good for you. I was going to be on the 4 in the 2nd but as you said was scratched and the 8 won easily.
I understand what you mean above about players playing different ways on this site. The grass always seems greener on the other side and one is tempted to try everything. But every method has its own winners and losing streaks and nobody wins them all. It takes time but gradually you find what works for you.

Good Luck,
Pook
