My Value odds Selections for 02-01-12

My Value odds Selections for 02-01-12

These are my possible plays for today providing the odds hold up.
I look for 10-1 morning line odds but would consider 8-1 odds on what I consider to be a possible bet down horse. These are horses with morning line odds of exactly 8-1. All others must have at least 10-1 odds. I use conditional bets to control my bets.

There is no mystery as to what I'm doing.
I bet value.
For those that expect a winner in every race, I would advise you not to loo
k. I'm very happy with one win out of every 7-10 races. If I get more then that's a major plus.
Rather then upset or disturb anyone, posted these selections to my blog for anyone that has an interest.

looking

Hi Bill

I wish you well when you post your daily picks I must say
I am not a fan of when you post just selections, just names and numbers
Today is better. You gave a short description of what your looking for.
It really helps.
Its much better to know your rooting for value in one horse
like you posted today.
When I see selections posted I usually will download the card and check out the race myself and see if I agree with the selection, that your horse has a good shot at the price your looking for . Or would I do well using my own methods

good skill today
I hope the format you are shooting for works for you

Bill, I would advise caution if you like a horse that I listed that you feel you may have a shot with. They win infrequently and they usually don't place when the lose. I have had some long losing streaks but survive them with winners that I have described below. I would not want to see you or anyone else lose on my account.

Like I stated, I look for a win in every 7-10 races.

When you bet overlays you want to look for the reasons that will cause the public to shy away from a specific horse.

Yesterday, I had a $40.80 winner at TUP (R6) that the public totally ignored. The horse was a possible bet down horse that had a ML of 8-1.
I posted the race with a friend of mine that is a member of this site.
The horse finished 3rd in his last start but had a specific angle and additional factors that put me on this horse. The public shied away from a female jockey by the name of Jacqueline Remy-Martin. This was almost a perfect scenario.

I made a total of just 4 bets for the day with a single winner.
You don't need to many of these type winners to be successful.

no worry

Hi Bill

sorry for not being clear what I meant was when I see a selection of
horse 4 at whatever track I will look at horse 4 and decide for myself if the horse has a chance

I bet what a Sartin Program tells me to bet, Nothing else

That was the point I was making

I'm glad you catch all these great long shots
and are getting paid for your time

Bill, you are the consummate Sartin student and practitioner.
I understand that you are very rigid with your method of handicapping and
you will not deviate from it. This is your choice and I respect that. I like a lot of the things you do. I'm not saying it's wrong for you but possibly not right for me.
I feel that there is a better way. The game is not about picking winners but is about making money. I am always looking for the best way to do that. I have tried many different methods including some of yours. but seeking value seems to me to be the most prudent and best money maker. This is my opinion so please do not take any offense from it.
