race 7 SA Starter Handicap
Starter Handicap Race 7 Santa Anita
horses that have started for $16000 or less since May 1 2017 Phase 1 First off last line TPR 5 6 2 7 4 1 3 My notes Horse 1 Router looks tough for this race as her EPR is so low it probably will hurt her LPR as she runs with the sprinters Horse 2 Line 1 , comes back after 5 weeks freshening Horse 3 Line 1 Last line is a + race but 20/1 Horse 4 Line 4 85 days ago + race excuse line 1,2,3 routes Horse 5 Line 1 is a + race but 60 days ago Horse 6 Line 1 is a + pace line 54 days ago Horse 7 has not run since Del Mar 54 days ago she was beaten badly by horse 6 in that race I will go with 5 and 6 1 possibly under these Wish me luck I have been out of it for awhile Good to be home Last edited by Bill V.; 10-25-2018 at 07:19 PM. Good way to shake off that rust Bill after getting out of the hospital. Look at this as speed to the stretch.

With that in mind, the high weighted horse (#4) won the race. There was a tie for second highest weighted (#1 & #7), they ran 2nd and 3rd. The remaining contender would have been #5. The idea is to use 3 and no more than 4 horses as contenders. And the only time you use 4 is when there is a tie like in this race today.
