Conley (Check Mark) - cut it out with the pointed barbs, otherwise the back and forths never end. Omar sometimes writes with a touch of 'hyperbole' mixed in with his analysis (aka his 'style'). Your 'style' can be your own. Respect (and congrats) for proficiency is always a good thing.
Omar - response noted. Sufficient, I think. ONWARD, re the Cigar Mile ... Ted

Sheesh! Don't you read your Private Messages? I deleted your posts and explained why. You post essentially the same thing again!!?? Are you TRYING to get kicked off here too? What about this post could not have been written PRIVATELY to OMAR if his style of communication bothers you so much. Ted

I guess I should leave the comments to myself or just reply in a "nice way to understand" Sorry again Omar as I did not want you to feel extra horrible as I do right now. Ted, your right about me wanting to be kicked off. But I could not express my emotions in text properly as I wanted to. To everyone else, sorry about me calling out someone, but as LT and others have said, this is my opinion and I should have a right to express it, even thought it did not seem right about it. But lets move on in a Much more positive way next time.

Conley take a deep breath and don't get yourself kicked off. It was your opinion and you had every right to express it and if feathers got ruffled tough. I don't always agree with the way you do things but when you are not wrong I'll stand up for you.

Hello Conley,
Vicious may have been an inappropriate word as it denotes very strong feelings, I myself didn't take it that way. Your comment; " Ted, your right about me wanting to be kicked off." I'd say that was said more out of frustration, so relax. When it comes to life all this is just trivial. I for one and I know of others would like to see you remain around here. You have come a long way but this is a marathon with Sartin concepts and life in general. Now onward. Conley your right that Max. Sec. may become Horse of the Year as it pretty much comes down to him and Code of Honor. I'm rooting for Max. Also this would be vindication of his ability considering his whole record and the selection process is from many experts within the field. I found this interesting article for those interested about Max. Sec.,this AM from Steve Haskin, writing for Blood Horse who I respect very much. He has many years of experience for background and someone whose opinions I admire. He is a very excellent authority on racing and brilliant writer. Enjoy folks: http://cs.bloodhorse.com/blogs/horse...have-been.aspx Mitch44 |

Oh now he should be Horse of the Year!
What about Bricks and Mortar, the turf superstar, his record(6/6) culminating in the BC doesn't count????????? Like i said before, if you want to be the best then you race against the best! You don't skirt the major races at the major tracks. I'm sorry but Aqueduct, Monmouth and to a certain extent Gulfstream are cuts below the top tracks. The connections had their chance to redeem him in the Preakness and they PASSED!! They knew they had a tired horse in the Derby but instead of admitting it they chose the path down sour grapes. Funny thing about them grapes, they leave a sour taste in your mouth. It's the trainers job to place the horse where he thinks the horse will win and obviously that's what he did. His last 2 races were around 1 turn. To me he's just another nag with a saddle tag so don't nag me about him. And why shut down the thread, i started this thread! You know for years i had those index cards in a certain place. every day i've seen them. One day i decide to move them and now i can't remember where i put them. I'll find 'em. Hey Bill, i heard you were in the hospital. I didn't see the post, someone told me. Feel better and get well soon. Omar |

Hi Omar
Hey after spending the week in the hospital, With only Ted to keep updated Its so nice to be back in action. I was under supervision by doctors and nurses for chest pains, bet they also found a growth in my pancreas. That set me on a tailspin. So who wins the HOTY is all just for fun in the grand scheme. I like any horse that either wins the Haskel or Penn Derby My heart is still in Jersey even though I am now a beach boy |
