Seriously The odds line is very accurate
kind of like betting the morning line

Lets say your horse is morning line 5/1
and it goes off at 9/2 or 5.50/1 how did the ml odds maker know
so well ???

The odds makers for pro football are incredibly accurate
so when you see a team is a 3 point favorite
You bet that you know better than the odds makers
and that you think the team is better or worse then they do


The J.E.T.S are the favorite by 4.5 in there game against the Cowboys

Now to win your bet you decide if the Jets will win by more than
4.5 or the Cowboys will either win the game outright or will lose the game but lose by less than 4.5 points

Thats a basic idea of betting football

About the line what are looking for in line movement 3 points or 7 points Generally football is about totals and totals are basic arrived from points gained during the game. What is the ideal line for a game to bet on.

brings great memory. Handicapping football isn't that different from horse racing. The human element is in play as well.......
you start to handicap after 4 games into the season, 4 games are sufficient to have a pulse on the teams OFF, DEF and Spec Team. Injuries should carefullly scrutinized.
A model should be kept for the OFF, DEF and Spec Team as such:

PF=Points for
PA=Point against
YF=Yards for
YA=Yards against
FDO=First down offense
FDD=First down defense


and there are more factors like minutes, punts field goals, 2 points attempt etc...etc...

Few angles do develop during the season, the Monday night home dog was a good one, I don't know if is still in use.

One bookie doesn't help you need at least 4 of them, you need to shop around for the best line. Don't play exotics just play the line, no totals.

No final score will ever end like 14.5 to 21.5....the half point is scam...how many times you lost by half point....duh!

Remember the juice will kill you you can only win, if you are able to split the line like this:
Team A -1
Team B +3

bet both team and if Team A wins by 2 points you won both bets. In football rarely happens, but in basketball....Ca---cing
