Hates me and my laptop

Hi Ted

I updated Rdss on my desktop computer no problem
When I tried to update today on the my laptop I got this error message
I rebooted it 3 times, totally uninstalled twice
Took the laptop out for a nice dinner tried soft music lots of talking
tried to understand her problems Nothing works
It hates me

That computer runs Vista, right? Can you look on your RDSS folder for the file named tracklist.dat. Do you find it? If so, can you send to me via email attachment please. If not, can you let me know.

Also, presuming Vista, are you running as Administrator? If not (i.e. running as a Standard user), can you uninstall RDSS again, then run the install package program again, this time, right-click on the install program and pick Run as Administrator. (Better to run Vista with Administrator user priviledges, if you can).

Let me know! Sorry about the problems. That happens to me too under Vista, occasionally, and it is maddening.

Hello Ted

The laptop and the desktop are both using XP
the laptop uses xp professional version

I will look for the tracklist.dat file

What music did I try to set the mood ?? The 3 degrees "When will I see you again" seemed to fit nicely

Bill, I sent you a fresh tracklist.dat file to try. Yours was toast. Let me know. I'll see what I can do to prevent that kind of thing...

The new tracklist worked perfect

I used RDSS all day on Sunday
I downloaded AQU Philly Santa Anita Sam Houston and Mountaineer

I did not use the laptop Monday
When I turned it on Tuesday The first thing I did was try to update
to the new version

Thank you for helping me
and I'm glad you liked my music
