Delta Downs Saturday Night - 1/13/18

Here is a 5f stakes sprint from Ded tomorrow night. Looks interesting to say the least

All are welcome to chime in and if someone can post the result chart after the race I'd greatly appreciate it!

Hello Richie

Thanks for posting this race

I do have some races from my Jan_2018 All track/races model
I have copied the 5 furlong sprints form that model onto a separate model,
Its only 6 races. It includes all race conditions , I hope it helps folks a little

Here is the file

DED Model.xls

Good skill for all who can post there chouces

The speed. Much speed. Matched speed. Got to be OTE. Easy to draw a projected 22/45.1 pace. #1,#3, and #5 will be on that. All win from the front. #1 has won from 5th but seems a speedster really.

#6, and #7 are OTE and can maybe be up on this pace. They have only won from 2nd or 3rd up close to slower paces. #2 has been sort of competitive but was trounced by the #4 last out. #8 doesn't appear quick enough.

#4 would be the guy. A proven winner. Wins from fourth, third, and almost from 10th on the turf. Comfortable with being a few lengths back. Has killer power moves. Knows how to pass. It is only 5 furlongs so he can't lallygag. And he will have to find a way through. But I think #4 is the guy.

Thanks for the race Rich. I would not have noticed otherwise. I'll see what the odds end up being. He is one of the favourites. Could fall out of range.

#4 WIN

I think this # 1 is a NTL and will be pressed by the 5 & 3. I think the 6 & 4 can lay close enough to take it in the stretch.
Order; 6-4-3-7-2

Good Skill Mike and Mitch

Rich I will go with the 1 and 6

Hope they run to their ratings. I also like the 4 like you and Mitch. Its just the great race after a 200 day layoff. The 4 has no other back to back wins

I had the # 10 for the DD and it lost by a neck ,placed.
Nice play Bill. Hard to get a price there tonight and lots of low paying winners.
They hammer them down.

DED Res

Mitch and Bill both had the winner which was hammered down from the 6-1 morning line. They each profited in different ways from the race. Nice plays. I ended up passing the #4 which was 5/2 just before post. I thought that was too low for a come from behind type at only 5 furlongs. Sure enough OTE was the answer. But an OTE closer to the pace which was slightly slower than anticipated.
