Del Mar 9/1/14

Ive been mainly focusing on playing Saratoga all summer long but because both tracks are winding down and ive yet to play Del Mar I figured I do a couple days of study of Del Mar and then handicap today and see what I can get. So ill be posting on this thread throughout the card today, please leave comments and im hoping Bill or some other wise members will hop in on this thread and help me out with some mistakes as well as others.

From my 3 days of study of the track ive found that In Poly Sprints its favoring late, Poly Routes is early, grass routes are Early as well.

Race one looks weak on pacelines and I only have lines for 4 horses, so anything can happen here.

Heres the screens im looking at.
Im looking for horses with the best 3rd fraction in sprints

I would be careful with those biases.

Two horses to watch out for today.

R6 - 3

R11 - 1

Front runners paradise

Quite the opposite!

Speed has been dominate the entire meet at del mar.

If your horse is not in contention at the second call in both routes and sprints your chances of cashing a win bet has a low probability.

Horses must be within 1-3 lengths at the second call.

Favorable running styles are both E and P

S types only win when there is a complete pace meltdown(Very rare)

I'll be posting all readouts with winners included after the card. You ll see what I was talking about. So far 2 for 2 although both were very low prices. You ll understand me at the end of the card, good luck too all and have a great day of winning

Late

Hi latekick

Good luck with betting your #1 LP horse however. I would listen and follow Paul Sureshotlink and Hoofs advice

Make sure your using horses who will be close enough to the early pressure
or your best late is a early horse that sustains its energy.

I see you switched to line 2 because it gave the winner a better LP readout
I would not do this. Its true that you want to use a pace
line that represents
the horses ability but I wonder why you went off line 1 ?
