2 Attachment(s)
Hello Pace and Cap

Once again I ask you for help
I am trying to create a wikipedia pagefor Doc
Wiki_Dr_Howard_Sartin

The thing is I am having trouble . The page is from my heart
I truly want to do the best I can for Howard Sartin
But Wiki is calling for the page to be deleted
I am stuck because I need
well here is what they are saying

Looks like the bylaws of Wikipedia say you can't just write
about someone without authentic links

I have a few

Pace makes the race
The Hat
Trackmaster
Ted Craven
But I don't know the proper way to creat them
anyway I really want to create this page for Howard
I am asking you, my friends here to help me if you can
anything you can do would be so appreciated by me and many of
you to do this in honor of The Doc and The Sartin Methodology .
If your a registered member of Wikipedia and you know how to edit the page
Please do it...
If you have anything to add to the page and you would
rather I edited it let me know. Even just some ideas
would spark me
Please help
Thank you all

Bill,

What you're attempting to do is not an easy undertaking. Citing sources and properly formatting them, as well as editing and updating the page is the equivalent of writing a college level research paper--or any such sort of research project.

I took a look at these pages on sourcing, copy editing, and consensus, and although I agree this should probably be done, I also believe it isn't going to happen overnight.

It's going to take a lot of work and fine tuning. Just understanding the proper way of doing things looks daunting.

This is one reason Wikipedia has the respect it deserves--verifiable sources must be cited.

I started looking into it and it gave me a headache just thinking about it.

I would be more than happy to contribute to some of the editing, but sourcing and all that goes with it makes my head spin, and I've got a few too many things on my plate right now. There is quite a bit to be learned to make this work (at least for me). This is a real project.

That doesn't mean you should give up though. I'm just pointing out a few of the hurdles.

Bill,

Don't know if this is the PMTR link you were referring to above, but it gets a hit almost daily (or more) on various search engines, so that should be a credible source. It's an extract from the book Pace Makes the Race, the Psychology of Winning chapter by Sartin:

http://www.SartinMethodology.com/pub...inningPMTR.pdf

I don't know much about the process of Wikipedia attributions, but I'll sure take a look.

I will not give up

"Damn the Torpedoes"

"My only regret is that I have but one life to give to my country "

Sugar do do do do do do ah honey honey oops:rolleyes:

We can do it Thanks Ted Rich Steve Mike

Steve I really think that I need to show wikipedia something
Yes to do this correctly will take many hours
I am willing to take on the work -like I have so much free time -
What we need is to do something quickly is to keep the page from being deleted anything we can do now is build a foundation
Then we can build up from there

Thanks Bill
