Your right Froggy, current version inadvertently needs an internet connection
. You can turn tote access off (
http://www.paceandcap.com/forums/sho...&postcount=251) but that doesn't help you when there's no internet at all (hence the error message when attempting to get 'race changes' aka scratches).
The workaround most people use in Vegas racebooks and casinos without wifi is to use their own mobile phone as a wireless hotspot. That works everywhere.
With all public wifi, ALWAYS use a VPN (Virtual Private Network), whether on your own phone or the casino, restaurant or truckstop. I always presume folks are out there trying to piggy back on your signal and dong whatever nefarious things they feel like with your signal and device.
