The time is "NOW"

To all horse players the time is "NOW" to kick the Liberals in the butt. Forget all the falandering by Horwath and Hudak yada, yada, yada. If you live in Vaughn or Kitchener/Waterloo get out and defeat the Liberals, vote for one or the other, lets just send the message. Ontario has a very good product and the intertrack wagering is proof, it must be saved. These By-Elections for 2 seats are so important.

I couldn't agree more, do what you can to save horse racing in Ontario. In the next provincial election it will be my mission to see Dalton get ousted, the man is just plain bad for Ontario. In the previous election i did everything i could to support the other parties, i have never liked Dalton from the beginning and now that he is messing with horse racing it has become personal.

Even if i had no interest in horse racing i would still feel the same way in regards to what he is about to do to the economy in Ontario, the math just doesn't add up. You can't put that many people out of work and expect the economy to keep it's head above water.

You would have to be a complete idiot to think that a new casino in Toronto could generate enough money to cover the loss of revenue from.....
1 - Horse racing, an inferior product will bring in less revenue and therefore less taxes collected.
2 - Fallsview and Casinorama will more than likely go out of business and again, more unemployment and a loss of tax revenue.
3 - Over 60 000 people on unemployment and no tax revenue being collected. As well as the money that will have to be spent to retrain all these people on unemployment.

The kicker for me is the fact that Dalton wants to hire an American firm to run the new casino, therefore even more revenue leaving the country.

The liberals are running this province into the ground, step up and do what you can to save horse racing, the provincial economy, and the next generations future.

Gil, Barb forget about what we think, the chess game is well into the works.
My belief is that Hudak is backing the Liberals on this education issue to give Horwath the hammer because of unions and the left side. But this could backfire on him and then he is sucking his tail, who the hell is feeding him this garbage. We the voters have to defeat the Liberals in the next 2 by-elections
to even think this is close. Watch the backtracking then shoud we the people win. I am at a lost for words as to how this has got to this, To me the Liberals are trying to hide what we allready knew, this province is in a mess.
I still say to this day that the Supreme Court must get involved this government is de-railing everything and if Ontario goes the whole country goes, on top of the Red List for BC which because of over inflation and greed this whole country is in a huge mess, we as Ontario have to be strong or this whole thing crumbles and dies. This is not just about Ontario but our Country, the clouds are getting darker and the storm is upon us.

Jon,
The liberals are treading water here in Ontario and they take BS to a whole new level. If they get defeated we are not out of the woods but my god the mess they will leave is unbelievable. They have run this province into the ground Like an addict on crack, they have blown any money and have no resourses. My take on this whole thing is bye bye racing in Ontario because what will be left will be too far gone to repair, a very sad day, I hope I'm wrong.

Well, at least they didn't get their majority. NDP took Waterloo. I'd still like to know what their hidden agenda is. There is more to this than meets the eye. Otherwise, why would they give up all that slot money now when it will take them three years or more to get a replacement up and bringing in the bucks. I'm beginning to think the horses are a throwaway for something bigger.

I agree Barb, ive had a feeling all along that there was a back door deal and horse racing was going to be the victim, time will tell.

I just want to say thank-you to the people of Kitchener/Waterloo, as for the residents of Vaughan, are you people actually paying attention to what's going on? You should be ashamed of yourselves today, a clear message could have been sent out.

I agree, the whole 416,905 area are a bunch of puppets. All you have to do is look at the map to see that is the only area with red in it. All urban. Problem is their numbers are larger than the rest of the province. I've heard there might be a deal in the works, but can't find out any more than that. Kudos to the Waterloo area for listening. Maybe they saw something fishy about him going there 8 times for photo ops. He's never been there in past years.

Barb,Gil at least with the province in the same position as 24 hours ago the lights are still flickering. Kudos to Kitchener/Waterloo for their part not giving that clown a majority. Vaughan with the big WEG Stadium bar and all in my mind if I was WEG I would close it down and put more people out of work which this government is intent on doing. If this elected government dosen't care about peoples lives then why should WEG. I honestly think this clown wakes up in the morning with new idea's on how he is going to screw us. Lets hope the PC's and NDP now get together on this and call an election and throw this bum and his party out of work.
