Believe me, it took every bit of a couple of years (just like Boxcar said) to memorize all those angles--especially the ones I've found to be most useful. I still have to review the angles definitions from time to time because I wasn't blessed with a photographic or great memory. If I had a halfway decent memory, I'd be DANGEROUS.

I was weened at Charles Town back when they were running for purses
below 1000, so to me nothing was as important as trainer maneuvers. But
I didnt have any names for them I just knew what to look for.
What you do is just a different means to the same end.

As far as Davidowitz is concerned he was really ahead of his time. When
his first book came out and he wrote about the minor racing class system
there were no conditions in the pp's.You had to save the racings forms
because they were in the charts.
One of the best ever books written on the subject and a hallmark of that is: everytime I re-read another chapter (or more), I pick up an insight(s) I missed previously and/or it stimulates new thoughts/ideas/etc. on the subject.

Pino, nice to hear from you! It was nearing 5:00 AM when I read this thread (and still up from the previous day! ), and needless to say, my mind more than a little "foggy." Thanks for pointing out the angles I missed but I shouldn't have missed the BBA and SH angle! I looked for the Y angle too but didn't see that day's weight posted for Anearful in the past performance posted in this thread.

All the best,

Jon
