Slightly off topic

As I read Mitch's comment I was reminded again that if Tesla didn't invent it, he envisioned it, and the future development of his technologies. Onto WI-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS, thanks to Hedy.

Thanks Ted,

I've heard the term VPN, but didn't know why I would need it. Same with a hotspot. Didn't really understand the practicality of it.

I also use TunnelBear. They give you 500MB each month free so it doesn't cost anything to try. And it's dead simple to use. Just fire it up, watch the little bear dig down and pop up in another place and then open your browser.

If I'm in Starbucks reading an online newspaper, I don't bother. But if I'm going to any website that requires a password, I use it. I'm not as security conscious as Ted but I know there are some bad actors out there and a VPN will help protect you.

Hi AbqVic, the only reason for VPN is safety. Unfortunately there are a lot of bad guys out there.

Thanks Brian,

I noticed Mick’s experience with it too, so I used your link to get to the site, then read most off what they have to offer. What they do for you is impressive. I’m going to skip the freebie and go directly to the annual subscription as soon as the Christmas crush is over.
