Internet Racing

I am looking at getting cable high speed internet( $61per month), I currently have dial up which doesn't let me view the live feed of the races for my internet accounts( Bet Pad and Xpressbet) , I was wondering how good is cable high speed for viewing the races over my computer? Is it the same quality as viewing a race over television?

Thanks.

Mike.

Mike,

I got 250 DSL and I am still having some problems viewing the races.
But it is a lot better than dial up.
It seems like nothing is a good as the adds on TV.

Hi Mike,

well, I live in Germany and I always watch the US races through the Magna betting site. The internet streams are really good with a high speed broadband connection. Sometimes, they streams have no audio, but the pictures are okay.
On big racing days there could be some delays, but that is really seldom.

But the digital pictures on the tv racing channels are cleary the best.

Thanks...

Greetings
Tim

i do have high speed service with comcast. i also use xpress-bet. the fed is 30-35 secs behind TV. one can view small, med, and full screen. i have a sony vaio with i think a 14'-15' screen, and as i watched PEN last week i had a bit of trouble picking up the cloth colors. daytime tracks are better. light. depending on ones pc, the picture is not perfectly clear like a tv. BUT when the wife wants to watch golf and tiger.. the picture is fine. like watching a 17" TV.

Does that mean the picture won't be fine for the rest of the year...?

Watching Races

Mike I have QWest DSL and can watch races over internet very well. I pay 26 dollars a month and this is a lifetime lock on the price. Also have DISH network which has two racing channels so can watch on tv most if not all tracks around the country and also Australia and Hong Kong at times.
