Alabama

I was playing the races yesterday at Saratoga. Past line selection i was using is Best Perceptor Last 3. Well the readouts on the Alabama race left me scratching my head. Why in the world does Songbird come up forth on VDC? Please chime in guys I'm perplexed on this.

It's not unusual. I had her 3rd. AP last year never really came up high for me but won the TC.I believe that numbers in these cases don't tell the whole story. These animals are champs and have a class edge over their lesser rival who may come up higher in BL/BL. It has to do with the will to win. No program can account for it.

Class

Lt1, I agree with you that it's the hard-to-quantify fundamental of class. In the new version, Ted has added an enhanced class rating CR+ on the new Rx screen. As you can see from this screenshot, it had Songbird on top.

It had the 6-3-5 trifecta cold, too.

Thanks

Bill. I did everything you showed me to a T. the 6 horse songbird to shows up as a number 4 contender not 2nd like yours. I will show you what my best perceptor last 3 lines showed and yours next to them.

2 L3 yours chose L 3

3 L 2 yours L2

5 L 1 yours L2

6 L2 yours L1

4 L2 yours L 3

1 L 1 yours L3

7 L 2 yours L 2

So something is not right here we should all be getting the same readouts and line selections.

I also noticed when i click on the RDSS Icon i my desktop i get a pop up box that reads

PowerBuilder failed to change the unicode font substitution. you must run at least once with administrator priveleges to complete the process. Then i click ok and it takes me right to the program.

Yes

Oh okay Bob

Yes will delete my screens since not everybody is on the same page yet.
I have been ill and away, I did not realize that the RX has not been released yet
I'm sorry , I only have the RX RDSS on this laptop, I have in the truck.
I don't have RDSS2 so I can't help you
I do agree with Tim Songbirds class against better is not part of VDC
I am coming home this week so I can go to Pace and Cap day at Del Mar
I try not to take more than 1 computer with me on the road
Some times I only take the one that has the Dos Validator
Other times like now I take this newer model with windows 10 so I can not
look at the old programs

I look at all the Sartin Programs but I don't like to compare programs
so I keep them all on separate computers and only take 1 out with me
on the road

There is also the problem that the race was 10f and none of the horses had a 10f line. When lines are being projected from anywhere from 1 to 2 fs it is always a time to be wary. Although RDSS does a good job it is still an educated guess since we know that all horses don't run neat 6.4 1/2fs. Each horse slows downs at different rates.. As Doc always stated projection is always tricky while extraction is much safer since the horse had indeed run 6f in the route line.
