Hates me

Hi Ted
Sorry to bother you . I have not used this laptop since like November
When I opened it up last week because My "good" laptop's hard drive crashed
I could not use RDSS cause it expired on 12/28 It tried every thing
I could think of uninstalled, installed the new version, uninstalled
went back to the pre toteboard version 97 they all blow gaskets at me
saying it expired on 12/28

Today I tried again this time i get this message

If Its not fixable Val 4 works fine

Thanks
Bill

Hi Bill
Can you get into the download area Ted has here? Thinking you could do a full install from there and the expiry would be updated so you can get back in business. I don't have the link bud

Hi Bill,

I was out of town yesterday, and anyway, I don't always check into email and web this month as obsessively as I normally do. Back in full action mid February.

Re your above noted error messages - the first one indicates you don't have all the files needed to run RDSS. The second indicates that the Install package is somehow corrupt. I recommend on that particular computer that you Uninstall RDSS (Windows Add/Remove programs via Control Panel) if you are able to uninstall it. If you can't uninstall it, then delete the RDSS folder along with ALL content. Then download a fresh copy of whichever FULL version of RDSS (not the Update version) you like and install it. If you still get the 2nd error message after a fresh download of the FULL version, I suspect some problem with your internet connection or some mysterious problem with your computer - as those RDSS Install packages are being downloaded and installed pretty regularly by others, so I think the install packages themselves are fine.

I activated RDSS on the computer you were using yesterday (according to the RDSS server), so the Expiry should show now as the one you have for your account overall (i.e. the RDSS Expiry Date on all your other computers).

Hope that helps - I'll be around today.

yours,

Ted

Thanks Ted
Yes thats why I'm tied up. I reinstalled RDSS on the "good"
labtop yesterday No problems at all thanks for hooking me up
with TRACKMASTER - works great

Now I just want to get this one to work because I prefer to use this one
when I go to the track. Prior to this latest journey down the path off
evil. It works. However its so haunted if anybody were to ever steal it at the track, Their fingers would burn from the evil that seems to have taken over its soul.

Ok I will clean out all traces of prior versions of RDSS
I have my holy water bottle , but wait we have been down that road
before with water and laptops !!!
anyway here goes

Bill
