Santa Anita Derby
Even though the race is nine furlongs I used 8.5 furlongs for the setup time as that's the most common distance for the pacelines I selected. For the setup I used the March 12 tandem race at Santa Anita. This looks stictly like a "watch em' race" to me. Of the six contenders I think have a shot at winning, five of them have an FW within 0.01 of each other. #6 Midnight Interlude figures to have the lead at the second call. However, note this third fraction. It's the weakest of the bunch. In summary any of these six horses have a legitimate chance of winning. I'll be watching the race with interest, but won't be betting a dime on the outcome. |
