Chat Room Revival?
What are the chances that the chat room will be revived?
It would have been a good place to compare notes for on going races in real time. Especially good for co-ordinating team contest picks and for just chatting with your buddies. I thought I would make the suggestion to see if there was an interest or if the powers that be would consider it. |

I think that is a good idea and will save a lot of individual posts.

I too think it would be good, but also using a service like Skype, is also a possibility, and making it a RDSS Group, and the service to just talk is free, which I think we can you all afford.
Still good idea. Patrick

I like your idea of conferencing on SKYPE with a group. This can be done easily for those that are interested. I have used the chat room feature on PaceandCap in the past and spent a lot of time there comparing picks at various tracks with friends when it was available. Possibly, there was not enough interested or possibly it was done away with because it conserved the sites resources. Whatever the reason was, I'm sure there was a good reason as to why it was removed. I am on Skype and my user name is partsnut1. There are some of us that are on it already. It's easy to install and it has the ability to call or video conference anywhere in the world. You can also set up conferencing groups as well. |

Barb C has this Skype thing and says it is really cool (free is good too as Patrick says ) I am on an old laptop my buddy Charlie hooked me up with, I'll hook it up with Skype and hopefully find some time to pop on with you guys. Regardless I sincerely send YOU the very best wishes for good health, happiness and a joyful future!

I really appreciate your well wishes and would definitely look forward to seeing you on SKYPE. I'm sure other members feel the same way. Your input and contributions have always been appreciated by many of us. A lot of people swear by the match up. It would be fun to project your races of interest in real time. I know Ted, Barb and Bill V. are there but I haven't hooked up with them yet. There's a lot of nice people on PaceandCap and It would be great to get to know them better. |

Sounds like a good idea. I'm on Skype with my PA contest partners, but we found that now if you want to conference, you have go pay for it. You can do it for free person to person, but with more than two, they want money. My Skype name is Canadagoose34.

I hope all is well with you. I believe that group voice calling and individual video and voice calling (computer to computer) are still free. So I think that a group can voice conference at no charge I look forward to speaking with you and other members on SKYPE. Feel well and stay as nice as you are. |

I just added You, Ritchie and Barb to my contact list. This stuff is contagious and should be a lot of fun. At any rate it's a great way to make friends and get to know people better. It is certainly more personal and face to face or voice to voice. I hope there will be lot's of the group members that will do the same. Today I will be playing TAM or GPX . I play the tote board and no longer look at the form. With me it's all about the odds and probabilities. I can't explain it but it's a skill I have developed. If you asked me how I do what I do, I would not be able to explain it or wish to try. I had just one winner yesterday at GPX Race (6) which I can verify. I bet just $1.00 on both the (6) and (11) The (6) won and paid $154.60. So I received a payout of $77.30 for a $2.00 bet. Incredible but true. You don't need many of those to be a winner. This past week I had quite a few. Last edited by partsnut; 03-01-2012 at 09:28 AM. |
