I have been reading several post and they refer to the "yellow manual". I have tried to use the google site search and have not been able to find it. Could someone maybe post the link or let me know where I can find it?

Thank you guys so much. I cant believe I missed the extra pages. I have just been playing around with the software and there is so much information. I can definetly see myself buying the subscription.

On page 85 of the manual (which is actually p.103 on the pdf), there is a discussion on the use of Line Scores.

The example used is as follows:

Horse A: 1-2-2 = 360
Horse B: X-1-1 = 384
Horse C: 2-3-3 = 240

Can somebody please explain how the 360 is calculated? Or perhaps does it not even matter? I use RDSS, so is it possible to derive this information from there. Obviously the Primary Line Score is included there, so am I to presume that the newer Line Score is deemed to supersede the line scores above?

As a little aside the Yellow Manual was the second manual I ever read, a good while back now & it seemed like such heavy going, but having now gone through various manuals/follow up/seminars I've gone back it all seems so much easier to understand!

I am not sure where the 360 is coming from
and the practice of betting the top two line score has long since been
abandoned in favor of the two best overlays of the top 3 or 4 contenders

anyway as far as what I can tell using today's RDSS readouts
for race 6 from Belmont

If you add the line score of the top 3 contenders.
I moved the decimal to make it a 3 digit figure,
you see the 6 and 1 have a 46% chance of winning the race

Next the 221 figure minus 10 points = 211
so any horse over 211 is positive and here the 8 would be a negative

Of course in the yellow manul if the 8 goes off a over 4/1 a separate
bankroll win bet should be made on it too

This is why today, one of the options is to wager cap
In this case all three horses could be bet
The 8 sitting there ranked 3rd at big odds is a third win bet

Thank you for the explanation on the Line Scores there.

I've really felt the need for a back to basics study lately. It all started with a post made by yourself a little while back hoping that Howard's work wouldn't turn into a kind of scratchcard event. (Paraphrasing now of course).

Well, it got me thinking & I got studying. I've just finished the Yellow Manual today after spending all week on it. Brilliant reading. Sorry I know this is the teaching thread, so I'll make my last point of this post more pertinent.

The form cycle on the horse you posted is absolutely amazing. In & out on alternate races right from the 8th race back to it's last race. I sincerely hope you back this horse at those returns!
