I was listening to an old sartin seminar tape and Doc,Brohammer and The Hat all agreed that putting in horses with big 3rd fraction numbers only will just screw up your readouts. Here is a horse from the 9th tomorrow at CT I would like to know if you would enter this horse or not from this paceline.
22.4 46.1 120.0 9[12 behind] 9[9behind] 6[9.5 behind 3[4.5 behind]
The behind is lengths
By me putting this horse in it's coming up big in all of the readouts.Jeff

What if the pact runs faster opening splits? The horse in my opinion based on the limited information you listed. Sound like he is a big closer!

Dap,He is a big closer.I know I gave limited info but I wanted to see if people would put that paceline into the computer or not.The race was run at CT and the same distance as todays race 6.5 furlongs.Maybe Bill can put up the whole pp's of the horse it's called Atlas Peak running in the 9th at CT.Jeff

Jeff, because we are good friends, I will offer my humble opinion of this race.
I believe the (8,1) might be the horses of choice here. whichever one gets the lead should keep it. The race sets up for an early or early presser type horse to win. I see the order of finish (first 4) being as follows:
8, 1, 5, 6. :D There's a good possibility for a nice price.

Although we all know the names of these (Silky, Cefis, Strike the Gold, Concern) there is a singularly nasty problem with them: they don't win that often

Jeff, to answer your question, "Yes, I'd consider using that paceline."
I wouldn't settle for that paceline; I'd consider it, but I'd select the second race back for two reasons:
1) It's a better race
2) It's more indicative of what the horse will probably run today IMO
#2 Atlas Peak looks okay. He's the second best closer in the race though, not the best. That honor is bestowed upon #6 Easy Cruiser.
You're right, 135 days off might be too long a rest for #2 and the posted workout is insufficient. On the other hand, he's dropping five pounds and we all know trainers go goo-goo over that.
At 4-1 and 7/2 they're certainly playable in the double.
I'd go for a Woolworth's in the tenth -- five and ten. They can both run to par. If you want a horse who might "steal" it on the front end, consider #6 Our Diamond Girl at 10-1.

David,When Im playing CT if at all possible I want to use a CT paceline. As you well know all horses dont take to that bullring. My feeling the horse is gearing up for Del which opens soon. With that said he will probably win easy.Jeff

Jeff, nice pick. :D
You were right on.
I re-worked the race and sure enough your pick came out on top.
Last night I couldn't get arrested at CTX so I did some re- adjusting.
I came up with 4 races tonight - let's see what happens.
