WWBD WINNER Dogkatcher!

Who thinks like Bill ?

Here is a little contest. Time for some FUN

My lovely assistant Carol Merrill has two fabulous prizes
for the first person who answers this question correctly.
By correctly I mean You have to imagine your me I know what I did
What do you think I did in this scenario that happened this afternoon?.
So the first person who answers the question
correctly saying they would do what I did will win the prizes
Value of the prize package is about $40.00

Your question and please answer it as if you were me
What would Bill do ???

The scene ... I am making a delivery of 15 boxes of brochures Each box weighs about 40 pounds. The pretty lady who I see when I arrive at the office to make her delivery asks me to put the boxes in the lobby. Her office is off the lobby. I am polite and make some small talk. She is very happy to
be getting her brochures. She seems to like this big dopey bald headed messenger guy. So things are very pleasant

The office/lobby I have to deliver the boxes to is on the second floor

The building is an old 2 story house. There is no elevator but there is a ramp for
(handicap - wheel chair accessibility)

I have a hand truck that I can use. I can load 7 boxes on my hand truck

First load from the van, up the ramp, into the lobby 7 boxes on the hand truck

Back to the van. I have 8 boxes left.

I thought about this. I have 8 boxes left but I can only take 7 at once. What is the best way to
go about getting the last 8 boxes back up to the lobby
How well do you know Bill ?
The person who answers the question that matches what I did wins

Again the question is .. If Bill has 8 boxes and his hand truck
only can take 7 boxes at once what did he do to get the last 8 boxes delivered to the office What did Bill do ? Who will win the prizes ?

Good Skill

Bill V.

All decisions are final
in case of a tie your total post counts on Pace and Cap will decide
the winner

Got the nice lady to carry box #8

JimG 05-12-2009 05:45 PM

You brought the second group in with the hand truck. Then you rolled your sleeves up a little and brought in the 3rd box by itself, showing off your muscles to the pretty lady. She said, "Oh Bill, you are so manly", "I bet you are one of those Sartin handicappers". Upon hearing that, you whipped out......your trusty computer and gave her a cold deck exacta of the 7th race at PHA. :D

when I tould the lady about my moms favorite bet

Very good Lets see what others say

noddub62 05-12-2009 05:58 PM

Let the pretty lady take the 7 on the dolly and you take the eighth, while helping her up the ramp.:D

noddub62 05-12-2009 06:01 PM

If we get two trys, I would tell her that they left the last one at the your office but you will bring it the next day and to show her you are truly sorry about the mix up you will take her to lunch when you deliver it.:)

Hey Bud

A very shy guy goes into a bar and sees a beautiful woman sitting at the bar. After an hour of gathering up his courage he finally goes over to her and asks, tentatively, ''Um, would you mind if I chatted with you for a while?''

She responds by yelling, at the top of her lungs, ''No, I won't sleep with you tonight!'' Everyone in the bar is now staring at them.

Naturally, the guy is hopelessly and completely embarrassed and he slinks back to his table.

After a few minutes, the woman walks over to him and apologizes. She smiles at him and says, ''I'm sorry if I embarrassed you. You see, I'm a graduate student in psychology and I'm studying how people respond to embarrassing situations.''

To which he responds, at the top of his lungs, ''What do you mean, $200?''

noddub62 05-12-2009 09:05 PM

Good one Bill! Does that mean I won????:D

You delivered the 2nd load of 7 boxes, then found a pretext for her to come out to your van and accompany you back upstairs again, chatting happily while you carried the final box.

Ted

I have to agree with Jim and Ted. You went 7/7/1.

And the for the last box you used the patented Binder-Head-Strap:

dogkatcher 05-12-2009 11:51 PM

You decided you needed to make two trips, each with
4 boxes, and being the nice guy I am (Bill of course) you
offer to stack them neatly in her office. She says, your
so sweet, and I (Bill) was just a little :o. I asked if there was
anything else I could do, and she said you can take me to
dinner. The rest is for me to know and you to find out.
THE END.

xtb 05-13-2009 01:18 AM

You took the brochures from the 8th box and stuffed them all into the other 7.

blind_pursuit 05-13-2009 01:41 AM

xtb, that's a pretty good guess.

I say...

tried to pile all 8 on the hand truck. made it halfway up the stairs before the whole thing tipped over and went toppling down. Spent the next half hour picking up the brochures while the nice lady looked at me like, well, that was fun.

/ that's what I would have done

Bill V. 05-13-2009 03:51 AM

we have a winner

One of you hit it exactly right ! :)
which one is it ???

Use that as your clue

there might be parting gifts

XTB thats is strange you said that
something similar happened while I was packing up in the morning

I had 15 binders. The box could only hold 14.
With 14 boxes the box was not full but the 15th binder was too fat
to fit
My friends Kate, Rual and I looked at each other and we had no other box big enough
and I didn't want to have 1 binder not protected in a box
I started to blow gaskets in my mind as I was late and had to get going.
I had an idea I went into my mind. Welcome to binderland
I took the box and used the bulid - a- box method

I took the 14 binders out of the box. Cut one side off the box, Slipped in the 15 binders
I took another box and did the same thing. I cut off 1 side.
Then I married the two half boxes together and taped the edges

[ box 1 + box 2 ] = [ big box ] :)

deliveries with gas prices going up again it might be the way to go

Joe and I made many deliveries for our dads printing and office supply
companys many years ago

We had some rough days but I smile when I think about them now.
I remember dads delivery van. It only had a drivers seat . You used to drive and I had to sit on the wheel well
Maybe I took the wish to be the one to drive a little to seriously
Hey Joe I bet your glad you don't have to make deliveries anymore

Bill

DogKatcher

Did you hear this one:)

1) How do you put a giraffe into a refrigerator?
You open the refrigerator, put in the giraffe and close the door.
2) How do you put an elephant into a refrigerator?
You open the refrigerator, take out the giraffe, put in the elephant and close the door.

3) The Lion King is hosting an animal conference, all the animals attend, except one. Which animal does not attend?
The elephant. The elephant is in the refrigerator.

4) There is a river you must cross. But it is filled with crocodiles. How do you manage it?
You swim across -- all the crocodiles are attending the animal conference.

porkchop 05-13-2009 04:36 AM

dogkatcher nailed it, two trips, more time to spend with the pretty lady :)

JimG 05-13-2009 08:17 AM

Bet those boxes made quite a noise when you tried to put 8 of them on there and they fell back down the steps.:o

Jim

mikesal57 05-13-2009 10:11 AM

azbacks 05-13-2009 03:23 PM

Jim...

and when the 8 boxes jumped off they twisted the hand truck out of his hands, and it followed the brochures down the stairs........lmao

Bill,

Yes I remember our days in that van. I don't think that crazy thing even had a seatbelt.

What always got me about that job was when someone would order something, and I'd show up with it and they would act like I was bothering them. I used to think, Jeez, this was your idea, remember?

Still, it was a fun job in many ways -- something different every day!
