Hi Shoe,

I personally Post the whole days card and plays usually 3-4 tracks BEFORE they are run in my album section on a daily basis...and leave em there for a couple of days for review and comparison so you are more than welcome to visit, peek, post remarks.

If you have any questions regarding how to read them feel free to leave a note.

Jess

here's 1 on Fri. Hope you had it too... here is the link of my album for the race below..

Jess, Very nice hit and Im not that good of a handicapper to have had it.The thing is if this site is really intended to help people then why not explain how you came about getting that result.

I just felt JE22 was really trying to help people in giving his views of handicapping but as always it got sidetracked. As I have already said guys like him and For The Lead posts will by far improve my game more then posting how I did after the race is run.

Just a side note Charles Town WV votes passed the bill to allow them to install craps tables and roulette wheels.

Jeff...There is rally no secret code to get these results

First of all...you need RDSS which I don't believe you use

Second...Paceline selection...from what I see , jess uses last good race at around same dist and surface..

With the #7 ..the 7th line down was his only route race on his PP..He tried it and Wow..it put him up there near the top

In the case of #2 , off since March, Jess used one of his good routes to see if that race would get him in the mix....It didnt..5th on bl/bl

the 5 had all turf races..he probably didnt use him

So he looks at his final #'s and he sees a 15-1 shot 2nd on the bl/bl

what would you do?

heres the PP's for this race..tell us how would u handicap this race

mike

I was not aware of this and I think you are providing an excellent service for
the user community. There are two learning areas, conceptual and pragmatic.
New ideas are always welcome as well as specific examples.

At this point with the Methodology I personally like to review specific races
such as you have presented and try to better understand the paceline selection process.
Yes, comments explaining the why of each contenders paceline
selection would be nice. But as you stated above these races are available before
they are run and any user has the option of reviewing your selections and accessing
the card and going through the selection process themselves.

So..thank you for this avenue of communication.

Ernie

Mike, Im not a good judge of this like others are out there and by looking at the pp's I would not not have played the race. The main point of this thread is when someone is trying to help others by giving good info with examples even if you disagree with it let the person finish what they started. This would be a heck of a lot more helpful then to keep sidetracking the thread with other useless pieces of information.

I don't get it with you. I've been reading your posts for a few years now (here and on PA) and you're still basically stuck in the same place. You're either whining about something or trying some new program. If using someone else's program or method was the way to go, then we wouldn't be seeing so much REDBOARDING on this forum. Everybody would be wining. It's simple enough to pick winners, and every so often we all do it. Coming around after the fact is just poor taste, IMO. But I digress.

Getting back to you. Instead of bitching all the time why not channel that effort into something MORE PRODUCTIVE: like actually learning about the game. Watch some replays, keep some notes, try to understand what happens in a race. Breaking down a race in terms of splits and split times is a very NARROW approach to a very complicated game. (It's like conventional medicine, which treats the individual symptom rather than taking a wholistic approach.) Some would have you believe that by following a certain method you can win. And when you don't it's because you need to take their method to the next level, and the level after that, etc. There are no shortcuts here. The game is too complicated and much too hard. Learn it on your own, at your own pace, rather than following the failing methods of others. At the end the rewards will be worth the effort and it'll be ALL YOURS.

TFM, Actually not whining or attacking people such as your doing just giving my opinion. In these economic times of ours Im just trying to keep a roof over my families head by trying to work as hard as I can on my job.Playing the races at this time is not my NO 1 priority.Have a nice day.

Ok I am gonna

Jeff The Sartin Methodology is a great way to
help out in these tough times

Each member here must work and win at there own confort level
If it helps to post before or after the fact
lets respect those members confort level.

If having to post before hand causes the member to get some
"yips" and lose a race, is that helpful to anyone ?

The Follow up is filled with races to learn from

No matter what Sartin time frame you are confortable
working in.. but The Sartin Methodology
is paceline and contender selection based,
so what works for you is the most important thing

We all want to help In ways that we feel show our
strengh. As you point out there are people here
that offer there help both before and after
so there should be no issue

Bill

How quick people forget

A man named "Boxcar" created a website 2 years ago to explain a methodology he was working based on the principals of Ray Talbout.

For one YEAR he posted nothing but redboarded races (hundreds of them btw) on this site BUT also showed concepts, screen shots and offered feedback/help. 100% redboarded races. Hundreds of them.

ONE man Giuseppe Ledda took these redboarded races and quietly developed a way of working them that he could call his own because he BELIEVED the concept. he then started making small bets then a bit larger. last year he made thousands of dollars and paid for at least half of his daughters wedding.

All starting from a website EXCLUSIVELY showing REDBOARDED races. Without that who knows if Mr. Ledda would even be in the game today forget about flourishing.

Now the big question:
This is a Sartin Methodology website(the title says so right?). Folks that come here see whats what. They do 1 of 3 things:

1) Buy into it and work HARD to see if they can make a go of it for THEMSELVES. If they succeed they have found a home. If they fail they gave it a shot and moved on respecting all the while the folks here that really want to help (btw NOBODY is getting rich from any of this ok? But folks should know that already right?)

2) Know it is not for them right away and quietly leave to go on about their business elsewhere no harm no foul. This includes anyone who thinks we are bull**** liars, cheats and malcontents/losers. You absolutely HAVE THAT RIGHT and are ecstatic we are betting into your pools. Btw at least 80-90%(probably more) of folks coming here to "see whats what" should be in THIS group. Doc's methodology/concepts dictate this.

3) Stay here NOT buying into the Methodology BUT insist on posting negative energy posts that might inhibit posters looking for positive energy/help/feedback from posting stuff or asking for help cause they do not want the aggravation.

I ask most respectfully that folks please put themselves in the 1st or 2nd group NOW and act accordingly please. Speaking only for MYSELF I would afford all of you the same courtesy if I was a GUEST on YOUR site/methodology.

Thank you all for your time. Now it is back to shrink wrapping Mom's house for the winter as her oil bills are up 32% from last year.

Thank you MNR

Pizzi,
btw, you know my first love is Syn2. You must remember from your tales about that friend of yours, named Freddie, if I recall correctly. I'm in the process of combining Syn2 with Ray's method, it is more a data mining project than anything else. Capping is not a static endeavour, it changes from race to race, and if cappers don't adapt to it, they will be left dry. you're back on the address book.
