Yet another example of not blindly accepting tier rankings. Tim |
It looks like you are having a really good day, Tim! Congratulations!
Dick |
Well that is definitely
Great Handicapping Tim. Don |
Thanks Dick & Don. It was an unreal day. I did miss the last 2 dds of the day. Can't win them all. More importantly it underscores the need to not blindly accept readouts and the importance of keeping records

Nice hit Tim.
What defects led you to demote the 6 and 7 below the 3 ? In reviewing it , I also noticed based on your pacelines , that I selected lines for the 6 and 7 that had abnormal DTV's. I did not pay attention to details. |
Thanks Jim. Ok here was my logic on the demotions/
#6 Had 3 failures in the last 4 races[including the last one] and its %med was too high to win #7 Failed in last, needed the lead by 2c[I projected it would not get it] its %med was way too high. #3 had no defects although but its %med was also much too high & I was concerned about the #4 TT off mdn & I did note the str loss in the win but it was an off a layoff race and it won pretty easily. I concluded it was a young horse moving in the right direction compared to the 6 & 7 so I moved it up. Purely a gut call. As far as the abnormal TV what I do is after picking my pls I go to the original screen and recheck the TVS to see if I used a bad one. Hope this helps. Tim |
Thanks Tim. Very helpful.
I went back and looked at some cards and was surprised how many pace lines I chose had abnormal DTVs. Jim |
You are welcome Jim. The fact that you went back and discovered those errors will benefit you in the future. It is the willingness to do that kind of work and other research that is the difference in being a winner and a non-winner. I know this to be true since it wasn't until I started keeping records and doing research that I went from dismal to where I am today. This is not brain surgery and college degrees are not needed. All members can achieve success if they will do the work.
Tim |
Thanks To ALL
In regards to how you use your logic in choosing horses. Don |
You are welcome Don.
