This game is very tough. On wonders if there are some very simple combination of variables that produce value. Try ranking horses by: Number of wins - Square Root (1+M/L) .

Just kidding, but I...

Interesting Ancient History

Waitlist appears to be the standout.

Wild Chorus and Blue Quadrant would be my second and third picks.

Thanks Turbulator

I say OTE;

I'm going for #2 Queenofthebrahms - on second back, did well against 23.3 and was always ahead of #7 Urban Doll in this tandem race....

my 2 cents

Programming Match Up?

At the risk of being flamed, has anyone tried to program the Match Up?

I know that there are all sorts of judgments, but with enough data, a program can 'learn' the appropriate weights...

okay,...

Is there an error here or have I missed something?

The 3 horse's Meadowlands 8th race down - does not win from 2nd position. The 9th race down is a Monmouth win from the 2nd position, but at a considerably slower pace. If I'm correct, then the...

I so relate to this

I have also experienced the FRUSTRATION of not nearly fully getting it. There are many races that go by where I am clueless because (for me), the Match-Up puzzle pieces don't all fit neatly together...
