differences

showing an alternative. Choice of Brother/Bernardini was well documented at other boards from Paceadvantage:" probably won't last but, Ramon Dominguez could do another Scrappy T on Diabolcal for the early lead with Brother Derek right off him, Barbaro and Bernardini settling in. Sweetnorthensaint is just too late unless this pace falls apart.

A close sustained presser gets this one: Brother, Bernardini, Barbaro"

Seasoning might crash Bernardini but looking at the Energy Generator
gives the race to him and, more likely, Brother Derek. Checkout

Yes it was a nice hit,but it would have better to have won it the right way. Barbaro had a great future but that was dashed in an instant. Hopefully he will survive to breed. Bernardini will not run in the Belmont , it'll be interesting to see what the final field is.

Ramon, I was wondering about your readouts but I see by your screen you are using VALM (manual entry). Is that correct? Since I am not familiar with this version of Validator I was wondering how you do adjustments? I can see that Validator rated Barbaro's peformance higher than the example Tomkins gave using Speculator.

Houndog, yes im using the manual entry version of validator. The track to track adjustments are handled by entering the three year best for the track the horse came from at the distance. As far as the track variant I enter 1/2 of the variant and never more than 9. I know this sounds weird but it works for me. Pace line selection will change the readouts alot. If you like I'll post all the readouts that I saved.

Ramon, I can see how this could have worked especially in Barbaro's case. I recall this was the procedure that was being used in the manual entry versions of the Pace Launcher series of programs as well. As long as you are getting your contenders and pacelines down and it works for you don't change a thing.

Nice having you aboard.
